Neville: Arsenal Best In Europe

Neville: Arsenal Best In Europe

Manchester United defender Gary Neville may not be the most likeable person, but when he says that Arsenal have the highest football quality in Europe, it's hard not to smile.

Neville has featured heavily in most of SAF's trophy winning sides, and know what it takes to be a winner, and when he says 'They play an excellent level football' it's hard not to nod in agreement.

Speaking with SkySports News, Neville said,

'Arsenal have again got some very talented players and they play an excellent level of football, probably one of the highest levels of football you'll see in Europe,'

'The speed of the play, the control of the game, they're very good.'

Neville has also come to accept what we already know.

'They can challenge for the championship.'

Well...that is quite charming of him. Even *he's* saying it. Must be true. :p

He's a bit slow off the Mark Jamma, he's speaking about the 2002 double winning side, expect comments on our current side in 2010 :P

The title is rather misleading: "the best" and "one of the best" is not exactly the same...

midlothian99 - When publishing articles you can only use a certain amount of characters, I couldn't fit "one of the best in" so unless you can think of a better title, this one will have to do.

I know there is a big picture and within this big picture we are challenging for the championship. But I am upset we could not beat Everton this saturday. I did not see the game and i probably will not have the opportunity to see it but i cannot stand seeing the gap between us and Chelsea and ManU getting larger. We play good football, the best football, but we also need to be able to push our way through opponents and score that important goal.

That's a good compliment. However, the Gunners already know that, they're the best! All due credit to the master craftmaship of AW.

Rocky7, what about this? "Neville: Arsenal Are Excellent" or "Neville Loves To Watch Arsenal" :-) I know I'm irritating in the extreme but I had a minor heart attack when I read this title as I thought Gary Neville went mad and forgot who he plays for...

Midlothian, read between the lines. You don't expect him to come outright and say we are the best, so he leaves room for other teams to be included in the "among", including themselves. But he means to say we are the best. Are you arguing the point anyway?
Another thing, creating an "attractive" headline (one that attracts people!).
