'Arsenal Too Arrogant In Moscow'

Leaving behind what felt like a defeat against Everton, next week we face CSKA Moscow at Ashburton Grove in a game that could see us progress to the knock out stages of the Champions League.

Last time out we suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of our next opponents in a game that Arsene Wenger claims we were over confident in.

Speaking ahead of the clash he says our players always thought we would win and because of that we lacked urgency and we all know what happened.

'I was very confident going to Moscow. Overall as a team we were too confident to go there and take the points,' he said.

'I knew their high commitment could give us problems and we were warned because we were told by Porto they were a difficult side to beat.

'We came into the game after we had gone 1-0 down. Before that we were there but weren't 100% in every fight, in every one against one, to win every one.

'It was not that we lacked focus and determination but we were just not sharp enough to create something against a team who defended with eight players around their box.

'It was not a reality check, it was an arrogant way of not being urgent. It was just thinking 'we will do it'. It was not 'look at how good we are'.'

Lets hope that Wenger gets our boys fired up for the task in hand and put our CL qualification to bed as quickly as possible so we can concentrate on rubbing out all the negativety put in front of Arsenal this season.

Yeah, throw the arrogance out the window and stuff these w**kers!!
I'm loving the time of our "dissappointing" results; lose to CSKA before going to Reading, a reportedly hard side to beat. Look what happened. Now draw to Everton before CSKA, a team we will not only want to stuff, we need to stuff them. I like the timing.

The trouble is that simply because they are not a G14 team it does not make them weak. CSKA Moscow have recently won the UEFA Cup and are no-one's idea of a weak team
