'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Wenger Confirms What We Already Knew

After millions of articles from Arsenal sites & blogs telling the world not to believe ludicrous stories claiming Arsenal fans booed Thierry Henry on Saturday, Arsene Wenger has finally spoken on the subject.

Wenger is a football fan as well as a manager, he has been around the game all his life and it doesn't take a genius to differentiate between a groan and a boo (just someone who isn't a Journo)but Wenger IS a genius and he knows exactly what happened.

"I do not think they had any special go at Thierry Henry at all," he said. "Everybody in the stands understands we all have days where we are less good. We gave the impression we were not capable enough to force the decision, and that was frustrating for the fans.'

"It is part of our jobs to take the critics and deal with that in an objective way when they are justified. We need to be big enough to accept them when they are not justified in our opinion, and to stick to what we want to do but as well we must play better, be more mobile, create more on the flanks and at set-pieces.'

"When you play 50 times a year, you will have days where you are a bit less sharp and will lack maturity."

Arsenal face CSKA Moscow in the Champions League tonight and I get a funny feeling Thierry Henry is going to get an extra special welcome!

I wasn't there, but it very much sounds like it's purely a case if s**t-stirring by the hacks, build em up, knock em down... bunch of feckers, it's how they've always been. And anyone who's a long-term gooner will rememebr all the crud we've had l;evelled at our boys in the past... sod it, thierry knows how much we appreciate him, he'll know it's all b0ll0©k$, let the papers write their tosh, if anyone outside the club wants to believe it, then fine. those INSIDE the club are what matters, and we all know the score. »»Arsene Knows««
