'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Reliant Robin

Arsenal's Robin van Persie has said he wants to become more of a help to his Arsenal team mates.

Not that we begrudge him it too much but van Persie is an impact player and as such likes to take chances on from all angle (see awesome goal v Charlton) but now the Dutchman says he wants to make more assists.

'I have not set myself any objectives, but I have focused myself on improving my distribution and passing,' van Persie said.

'I want to help my team-mates, I want them to trust me in every situation and know that I am there to help them on the pitch.'

'It is important for a striker to work hard for the team - that can be through goals, assists or just being there for your colleagues.'

I hope van Persie doesn't take this to the extreme and lay the ball off when in a shooting position.

van Persie's whole game is centred around that lethal left foot and with his selfishness comes explosive goals and exciting tricks, however improving his passing and crossing can never be a bad thing.

Esspecially after that charlton goal and that freekick, he is good at shooting so if controlled selfishes can be good, but not too much.

i had to ask myself where he was for the first 20 mins on wednesday, so i think sometimes selfishness in player is never a bad thingy, look at wrighty ! my cousin believes he will take over from Dennis, i am not so sure and he still has alot of prove, and that starts with consistency.

He'll do well in Chelsea
Tigerphil
tigerphil if that was a feeble attempt of a wind up go try the spuds, they are always stupid enough to fall for something like that

the guy has unlimited potential, does he have the vision to harness, develop it and realise it? let's hope so, rvp makes all the right noise for a lad wh was a supposed 'bad apple' when he joined us. »»Arsene Knows««

RVP is a natural striker. He just needs to improve his decisive passes, as it's one of reason why TH14 doesn't look comfortable with him. But I know they would get there. Sometime he tries too hard by shooting with his right and ends up blasting the ball over the bar. You should always use your strong foot, unless you are too close to goal.

Only one word can describe RVP at the moment................ Class. He is netting them in left, right and centre.

his overall game has improved, he doesent take too much time on the ball now, and looks to pass the ball around more frequently than he used to before, and you can just make out by watching him play that he is really trying hard to gel with the team, and he seems more focussed than ever before, so i think we will see the best of RVP now..

Im not sure how he can improve, he has saved us on nemrous occasions this season, but onwards and upwards as they put it ;)
