'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Lane Quieter Than 'The Library'

An article in the Sun today has a league table of the loudest grounds in the league, and I'm pleased to say, the mighty Gunners are not bottom.

Indeed, not only are we not bottom, but we finished higher than the self proclaimed 'uber fans' of Tottenham.

All too often we have suffered jibes at the hands of the Spurs fans, listening to their taunts of 'Highbury Library' and 'Your support is f***ing s**t'. And with our move to our new home it will only get louder.

I have noticed that Chelsea are one place above us by three decibels, but I am prepared to take grief from the two visiting Chelsea fans for a pop at the spuds, plus three decibels is about the volume of a good hearty fart, so you know what to do next time you are at the Grove.

Even with their drum, the Tottenham faithful have still finished with an average 9 less decibels a game, and with 22,000 extra gooners this season, I can only predict a further gap developing between the North London rivals, and not just in the football.

League table in decibels

Portsmouth: 97
Newcastle: 96
Liverpool: 96
Manchester Utd: 94
Sheffield Utd: 91
Bolton: 90
Aston Villa: 89
Blackburn: 89
Everton: 86
Reading: 84
Man City: 83
West Ham: 81
Chelsea: 80
Arsenal: 77
Fulham: 77
Wigan: 72
Watford: 71
Tottenham: 68
Middlesbrough: 67
Charlton: 65

"And it's all gone quiet over there, and it's all gone quiet over there.........."
Oh yeah i forgot, everyone belives what the SCUM says.
Your usually quick enough to quote any source that slags off Arsenal. Ask youself this....why would they make it up?!?
Hey you c**t "HATEtheGOONS", how can you not believe it? It was even written in your favourite intellectal paper, since you spuds usually read Daily Sport!
All the times I've been to WHL for NLD's, you could hear a pin drop but for an idiot with a drum.
Little Dutch
I had one of your colleagues having a go at me, after I mentioned comments in the Sun which were attributed to Wenger. I was told you can't believe what is in the Sun. Now another article appears in the Sun and you lap it up lock stock and barrel. Sorry but you can't have it both ways. The Sun is either the gospel of all truth, or full of s**t? Decide which one you want to settle on. And I doubt the Sun were able to measure all the noise, made in every home game throughout the entire season, so its a fairly irrelevant statistic.
Sir_Harry either its such and such, or its not at all? Come come, its a tabloid newspaper, but theyve done a research into a rather trivial thing, Sir_Harry. This trivial thing proves once and for all that your fans just so happen to be rather pathetic, and ours just so happen to be a not so libraric-collection. Suck that?
Amazing, you have 50% more seating capacity, but can't make the same amount of noise! I guess the readings go down the first 10 minutes, the 10 minutes before and after HT and the last 10 minutes of your matches, although all those seat bottoms clanging shut must add some decibels! We will try to keep the 3 Point Lane crowd very quiet tomorrow!
Sorry SH - I forgot to add the research was done by these guys West1, it's always going to be hard to find your feet in a new stadium, it will get louder!!!! People who spent years sat together now find themselves all over the place. But as I said, I can take your jibes for a pop at the Spurs!!
Intersting .. can't see the article anywhere on the Sun page and actually doesn't seem to exist.
Personally the negotiations between FIFA and FIFAPRO are far more of interest
Just a shame that you're own Captain thinks Scum fans are S**t!! Too Quiet, Leave games to Early, Start booing the team!?!?!? You mugs make me laugh!!!
Rocky, appreciate your willlingness to take one for the team. I look forward to my first visit to the new ground next year. I have no doubts it will be loud that day.
This is good, although i'd prefer us to be loader than chelsea, however it felt loud when I went last wednesday so we just need to be a bit louder, but good on portsmouth for being the loudest.
Can't say it's a surprise. See how many of 'em went in fancy dress to their 'big' Euro game the other night dressed as blue plastic seats.....
Wenger is correct that FIFA is talking out of their arse, because if we were to adhere to this new lunacy our future squad would look a lot like your team. Forced to buy overpriced mediocre English players: Jenas 8m, Defoe 7m, Dawson 5m, Huddestone 3m etc..... But don't worry Yiddis, Jolly the fat giant can continue buying other English players like: Chimbonda, Zokora, Ghaly, Malbranque, Mido...oh sorry are they not English.
Jenas was £7m, Dawson was £3.5m, Huddlestone was £2m ... etc You could at least get your facts right. Only Wenger overpays for English players - Richard Wright £6m, Francis Jeffers £8m, Theo Walcott up to £12m whilst Aaron Lennon cost only £1.5m. Funny thing is, ManU are supporting it as are FIFAPRO - which if you didn't know is the players' union. What's the problem with 6 out of 16?
Wow watch out nnn's about, you pr!ck at least some of you goons talk some sense. All the young players mention are Full\U21 England internationals, who will only get better. You poor muppett, you must be on a high after havin such a great week. What with stumbling in the league, cocking up in europe, having a brand new soulless half empty hole for a stadium and then to top it off BOOING HENRY!Oh,and Enjoy the away trip to those desparate Spammers!
Unfortunately I can't say the same as , for the life of me, I can't think of one Yid that talks sence. Talking out of their ass yes, but Sorry about the mistakes in figures, I forgot to mention I included Jolly's pie eating costs during these transfers. I don't know about the half empty stadium, 400 average spare seats is half empty, hmmm, but don't worry other pre school pupils your mental age make similar mistakes. Maybe one day Jolly will hit the jackpot at the casino and also have the money to build a new stadium. Until then I will see you in Europe, sorry just remembered, you are in the lover competition, cock!
Funnier think is, about ManU supporting FIFAPRO, not all clubs have lunatics that would pay 19m for Carrick + another 70mil on various other English talent.
The way you lot are playing we're be seeing you in the 'lover' competition,d!ck!
And your obsession with all things Tottenham continues, closet Spuds supporters methinks!
If you lot are loder than anyone its only because you boo your team the loudest. ha ha
what makes me laugh is that the sun prints that we booed henry and everyone believes is, the sun prints this and arsenal fans are liars. i don't get it. and HATEtheGOONS, the way we lot are playing is a damn site better then your lot, the table only shows that, and when we see you on Dec 2nd we will explain it in a more subtle term for you .
noise at the lane is measured by how many deci-bellends they have, so they are top in that one... »»Arsene Knows««
they haven't had much to cheer about for a long time have they.
HATEtheGOONS - the way you lot are playing we would be lucky to see you in the Premiership next season, cock!
Is that all she gets at home ???? unlucky yids but take it like a man and not like arsne wenger !!!!
Eetz a quiet night een Eezlington tonight, no? Alzough, zut alors, zere's quite a rack-ket coming from zee Wenger household. Zounds like zomeone eez trowing about zee potz and panz.
Soz,puregold we don't think ARSEnal fans are just liars,we also think your Inbredpikeys too.Hope you have another great week !
