LMA 'Absolutely Concerned'

The LMA have released a rather bizzare staement today over the incident involving Arsene Wenger & Alan Pardew at the match between West Ham and Arsenal at Upton Park yesterday.

The LMA cheif executive claims the organisation is 'Absolutely Concerned' after Wenger & Pardew had a 'set to' in the technical area.

'We are absolutely concerned,' said John Barnwell.

'I haven't spoken to Alan or Arsene but what the incident does show is how emotional this game is - and that is what drives them. '

'Perhaps Alan could be accused of over-celebrating but when you look at what he has been through this season who could deny [him] that?'

'He is quite entitled to do that. Whether Alan has said something that has provoked a response from Arsene I don't know.'

'I would like to see them put this to one side,'

Then in a rather contadictary comment he suggested.

'Nothing disastrous has happened.'

I wonder why the LMA would be 'Absolutely Concerned' if it wasn't disastrous. They need to make their minds up one way or the other.

I agree a bizarre contradiction in terms.. sitting on the fence I feel.. they have to take a stance but equally see it as handbags at dawn by two guys under immense pressure.. having said that these guys should know better...
