'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rice: Wenger Is A Work-a-holic

It's common knowledge about how meticulous Arsene Wenger is about training, diets, pretty much everything to do with the game, but in a rare interview, Wenger's second in command has spoken about the great man.

Pat Rice is part of the furniture at Arsenal, respected just as highly as Wenger himself, Rice is widely considered the best assistant is the game, and is a gooner through and through.

'Arsene is always at the training ground,' said Rice.

'He is always working with players, whether it is one-on-one or with a group.'

'He works with youth players, reserve players, first-team players - he just loves coaching.'

'His enthusiasm is infectious and people listen to him because you know you would be completely stupid not to.'

'Arsene shows people respect and if he had anything to say to a player, he would tell them in private, because there are never rows or anything like that.'

Legends both!
