Gallas Is A Goner

The mighty Gunners have been struck a mighty blow with the loss of William Gallas to injury.

Billy suffered a serious pull of the old thigh muscle in training and will be out of action for several weeks.

The likelyhood being that he will miss matches against Hamburg, Bolton, Fulham, Spurs, Porto and even Chelsea.

While losing Gallas is a massive blow, his injury presents either Big Phil Senderos or Johan Djourou with further opportunity to strut their stuff on the big stage.

Either player is more than capable than standing in for the versatile Frenchman.

Wenger confirmed the injury, "We lost William Gallas with the final shot of training, He has pulled a thigh muscle and will be out for a few weeks. It is a blow because he stabilises our defence but at the same time it is a good chance for a young player to come in and show he is good enough.'

yeah, saw it on skysports, as i said on the forum, it means a bit more playing time for either senderos of djourou, both able deputies, and more experience for one or the both of them... »»Arsene Knows««

yeah true but still would still prefer gallas to play and be fit cuz he was just forming a brilliant partnership wid kolo, and just yesterday i was talking about billy and kolo being fit for the entire season, and there the curse strikes..

ah, but with the amount of games that we will paly during the season, we'd have been mighty lucky to have had the same centre back pairing for the entire duration of it. I'd settle for not having to play eight different left backs this time round :D »»Arsene Knows««

It's always a pity to see a player go down, but at least it's nothing requiring surgery. I am looking forward to having Drogba and Senderos renew their acquaintance!

Spurs and Chelsea!!!! Never thought that he can miss them too!! This will be very bad, I know senderos is good but Gallas is nedded against Chelsea!.
