Worst Time In England Says Gilberto

Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva was, in many peoples eyes, wrongly dismissed in the game against Newcastle at St James' Park last Saturday.

Since the incident Gilberto has had time to mull over the situation and has decided that it is the worst situation he has been in since joining the Gunners.

In an exclusive interview with Arsenal's official website Gilberto said.

“It was the worst situation for me since I have been here,”

“I have never got sent off before.'

“After it happened I was very, very upset because it was frustrating, especially as we needed to get the points. The gap between us and Chelsea is too much at the moment and that makes it very difficult for us.

“I hope the referee can think about what he did there on Saturday because it was not a fair decision.”

Following his red card Gilberto is now susspended from Sundays titanic battle with Chelsea, however he still offered his take on the match.

“It is very important for us to win this game,” he said. “We will have to be on our best form since the start of the season. We have to be fresh but at the same time conscious of what we have to do to win the game. We know that.”
