The Beast: Release Me

Julio 'the beast` Baptista says that he is ready to have a run in the first team after his recent injury troubles. Baptista has missed several weeks with an injury sustained in a behind closed doors friendly with Charlton.

Baptista, currently on a season-long loan from Real Madrid has already said that he wants to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season.

Speaking after he grabbed his first goal for Arsenal in a 3-1 victory over Hamburg in the Champions League Baptista said: 'I would like to have more time and to be a part of the team. But I can only do this by making use of the opportunities the manager gives me.

'I was satisfied with the goal, I am fit and I hope to keep on helping the team in the upcoming games.

'I know I must give good performances for the manager.

'With Arsene Wenger, I am learning nobody is assured of their position in the starting 11 and we all have to prove ourselves.'

I'm sure all Gooners want to see him 'released' to do a job on Bolton this coming weekend!

true say,,,,,i think wenger should pu thim in the starting eleven, considering strength has always been a weakness (no joke intended) at bolton. his extra bulk could benefit us well! Baptista for starting eleven!

yes, but i really dont understand the guys position, i want him to start at the reebok tho.

if they release the beast then they need walcott to feed the beast, as it proved midweek... walcotts energy and the beasts apetite serves as a perfect dish, on that note, dinner time !

considering that he looked like he could still be slightly off the pace at the moment, he may be best comign off the bench for the 2nd half, along with walcott, one to tear the bolton full back to shreds, the other to then batter a tiring team. Having said that... I'd love him to start the game and run through the bolton team as if he were trampling theough a field of corn... »»Arsene Knows««

Bring it on!! I've been waiting for this since the start of the season, coz we've all said the beast will offer us another dimension to our play. Cant wait to see it in action! Wingston, hopefully he will start, but play only 60-65 mins or so, before he is subbed, coz like u said, he still may be a little rusty.
