'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Baptista Wants Arsenal Stay

Julio Baptista has vowed to win a place in the first team, and the seal a permanent move to Arsenal, as long as the Gunners want to keep him.

The Beast scored his first Arsenal goal in a 3-1 win over Hamburg in the Champions League last week, and he's says he enjoys English football.

'It will depend on Arsenal as to whether I stay here beyond the season loan. If I have the opportunity to play regularly here and the club wants me to stay then it will be a matter of closing an agreement with Real Madrid.

'I'd like to stay. But it is out of my hands right now. It depends on me as well because it depends on how I play.' The Beast growled

'Football is different here, it's much faster. It is OK for me to feel the difference now, but I will adapt, I will improve, and I will start to play more.'

'I like English football. It is not too difficult to play here actually. It is a physical football and very competitive but that is good for my own style.'

Baptista isn't good enough for us. Hopefully we'll reject him and get good money for JAR. He hasn't played much but so far he's looked slow and not weak but far from a beast. this theory that he creates a hard tackling attitude from all the players seems rubbish. Maybe he's a beast in spain because its a lightweight team but Joey Barton is ten times the beast that Julio is. We should take muamba back because he is suposedly NOT our kind of player. Which is exactly what we need.

i think hes looked very strong on the occasions hes actually got on, give him a bit more time.

he needs more time to adjust.. i think there is a lot to come from him.. if he can suit himself to the game.. i agree he has looked a bit sluggish and not exactly what we expect of him.. but i do believe that he;s got it in him.. i seriously think wenger should consider henry and baptista upfront in a 4-4-2..

He's not played a full 90 minutes yet, give him chance. But in the same vein, Baptista can't expect to get a contract when he's not proved anything yet. I have however thought he's looked ok, he's linked up well and can run with the ball. I think he'll be ok!!!

I have been reasonably impressed with him. He will be good for away games because of his strength, and also, he seems to link the midfield to attack when he plays just behind the striker.
