Porto Will NOT Play For The Draw

Porto captain, Lucho Gonzalez says that his team will come out with all guns blazing to ensure the mighty Gunners champions league exploits are finished for another season.

A draw in tonights game would be enough to see both teams through, but Arsenal would remain top of the group.

It is Porto's mission to eliminate Arsenal from the competition altogether.

'The people that are saying that this is a certain draw do not know us,' Gonzalez claimed

'We want to win to finish on top of the group and if posible to eliminate the English who are a hard rival in Europe.'

'This will not be like a training match with spectactors because the two clubs are playing for their European future and that is vital.'

'With or without Henry Arsenal are a hard rival and can create problems for us.'

'Henry is one of the best players in the world and it is normal that Arsenal will miss him in Porto, but Arsenal have also won matches this season without the Frenchman.'

'I am sure about their possible crisis and their last results. Their victory over Tottenham is an example of the difficulty that awaits us at home.'

'Porto cannot play for a draw because it is a very dangerous tactic and negative for us. In football it is necessary to search for goals and not to just pass the ball.'

'Our victory in Moscow was key. I am optimistic that we can qualify for the next round of the Champions League.'

Right now our boys look like they're playing for a 0-0 draw though. Arsenal look very cautious...I hope it doesn't bit them in the....uh.....arse (sorry).

well they did try a few times with the quasie guy, looked a good player too, but yeah rocky last 20 mins was awful and a non event thanks to hamburgers.

It was always going to happen. Nobody is to blame, but what is the point in risking anything when you dont have to? If the situation is the same for both teams the outcome is inevitable!! Nice to finish top, even though we can now draw Barca or Real Madrid!!
