A little edgy, but we got there in the end. The end justified the means I thought. So, we can't win ugly, but we can draw ugly.

hehe, ya. Maybe this is the 1st step. Now hopefully, we can go on to winning ugly. Hope we dont need to do it too often. The intent was clear with the line-up itself, with Flamini, Cesc and Gilberto. I think it was necessary though. Good to see that we can try to play defensively as well, for a change.

I must admit mate, I hope we don't have to do it too often. My nerves were shredded with 10 minutes left. Whilst I understand the need to play like that last night it certainly doesn't suit our style of football. It was a strange situation. It must have been like telling Chelsea that they have to get a result without a deflected goal.

it was a bit of a rollercoaster ride of emotions, what with the score of hamburg and moscow coming through, when hamburg went one nil down, all i was thinking was those smug spud scumbags rubbing their hands together in preperation, but it was not to be,thank god,and we can all look forward to drawing a big club next week, because knowing how things usually turnout ,we will have to achieve the dream the hard way
fran merida
i think if we needed to score we would, but the hamburgers put the result out of any doubt. i thought it funny in the interview that freddy said they were aware of half time results from the " monitors "

That explains why he played rubbish then - Puregold - Hello mate

Don't worry about the Spuds opinion ffs, the last time they entered europe they had to back door it under supervision,

Is the reason spurs played rubbish down to the fact they could see all of our trophy wins plastered around the stadium interior?
iceman10
Spurs have never played in such a big stadium, maybe it felt like a champions league game for them, and they dkno they dun deserve to be in it and tats why they didn't show up last saturday :p..
