Arsenal Fans Told To Behave
The worse kept secret in recent weeks was the plan for traveling Arsenal fans to carry inflatable mobile phones & 'Ashley Cash' on their visit to Stamford Bridge in order to mock of Ashley Cole.
The 'secret' has now reached the Arsenal board who have issued the following statement to Gooners, threatening with rejection or ejection to Stamford Bridge should they be found carrying said items.
As you will know, the Club consistently sells out its allocation for away matches and the support from the fans has been tremendous both domestically and across Europe. Your commitment to Arsenal Football Club is very much appreciated by the players and everyone associated with the Club.
Those of you attending the above match on Sunday will know there are a number of actions planned against individuals at Chelsea by a small minority of Arsenal fans. The Club would like all supporters to be aware that anyone found to be bringing in inflatable mobile phones or fake bank notes will be either refused entry or ejected from the ground. Arsenal Football Club would like to stress that it does not tolerate any foul or abusive behaviour and we are working closely with both Chelsea Football Club and the relevant authorities to ensure that Sunday`s match will be played in a safe and positive environment.
We urge all our fans to focus their attention on supporting the team during Sunday`s important match and maintain the impeccable behaviour associated with supporters of Arsenal Football Club.

personally i think i'd like to see the fans rise above it. He was a great player for us whilst he was here, and i think we got the better end of the deal when he left. Supporters should surely focus on our team rather than theirs. Having said that an ashley cole own goal would make my year, fingers crossed eh :p

My opinion - it would be more effective if fans did not do anything towards Cashley...he's expecting harassment, so it may throw him off if he's not given any bother. It won't happen of course, but I bet the silence would play with his mind more than the chants and inflatable phone nonsense.

the arsenal board obviously have no sense of humour. and i think silence towards ashely will just let him get him on with his game. i am not sure whether ashley is more concerned with his former team mates giving the silent treatment or the fans, i bet he is more bothered about rejection from former friends of his ex team than the fans personally. he doesn't know the fans personally but ex team mates he does.. maybe that will throw him more.

Eh..I don't think the fans are overstepping their bounds nor is the board overreacting. If anything, it's pumping me up more about the upcoming game. Ashley Cole may be human scum, but I can't deny his talents on the pitch. All in all, you can bet on an exciting, drama-filled match! Hopefully!

Cashley wouldn't understand if we were silent - he'd think we're on his side- he really is that dumb. HE needs to behave not us. We have every right to make his life hell especially since he has patronised us (the fans) since moving by saying we dont understand what happened. Sol Campbell had it worse and Figo had it twice as bad as that so DONT HOLD BACK!

Typical Arseboard p.c. Not worth losing your entrance fee by being ejected...so just make his life hell on the pitch. He's such a sensitive little soul ...maybe knowing that the fans don't like him either will bring tears to his eyes and he'll screw something up!
