Gilberto Voted Man Of The Match

Arsenal's temporary captain, Gilberto Silva has been voted man of the match v Chelsea by the readers of Vital Arsenal.

'Bert' put in two performances on Sunday, one as a player and one as a captain, both were of an extremely high standard and the Brazilian deserves every shred of praise thrown at him.

Gilberto was easily the winner with a massive 62% of the votes.

Lets hope he can keep it up for the rest of the season.

how did RVP make that list ahead of fabregas and clichy? But for sure Gilberto was MOTM. he was everywhere and inspired those around him. he also had a word with Eboue, who reacted at first and then realised Gilberto was right. Imagine Henry ever doing that.

well done gilberto,he used to get slated before, but when he was out of the side last year we really missed him,and now he is recognised as a vital cog in our team, well done flamini also, who did well to score and divert big fat franks shot onto the post.

He was such a leader, I like him as captain, he led the defence and played superbly and carry's us forward. A true Man of the match.

he clearly has great leadership qualities and this season his age and experience is a shining light for the kids amongst him, you can tell how they hold him in utter respect.. got my vote :)

Had a great game and a great season so far. Hopefully Arsenal are now on a bit of form and can hunt down the leaders.
