Lampard: Lehmann Won't Talk To Me

Frank Lampard as hit back at Jens Lehmann after his comments to the press regarding the fat Chelsea midfielders ability to insult people.

The chubby chubster claims that he said nothing of note and the Lehmann looks down his nose at people.

'We had words but Lehmann shows no respect to any one on the pitch - and I don't mean that just from my own perspective,' he told The Sun.

'He has a way of looking down his nose at people. I certainly didn't say anything that I feel warrants an explanation.'

'For me, it's all in the heat of battle and nonsense to start talking to the media about it afterwards.'

Lampard went on to cry that Lehmann won't talk to him outside of 'work'.

'But the other week myself and my cousin Jamie Redknapp were out to dinner in a London restaurant and Lehmann was sitting just feet from us on another table.'

'We acknowledged him and he completely blanked both of us.'

'In fact, when he left, he walked right past our table and didn't even have the decency to say anything - whether nice or rude.'

I don't know about you, but if there's someone at work I don't like, I certainly don't go out of my way to speak to them outside of work.

Get a grip Lampard, I used to admire you, but since YOUR poor performances at the world cup, I have finally seen the light, you are not as good as you seem to think you are...Best midfielder in the world my A***.
Killercbrn
HAAAA, quality.. maybe he doesn't associate with eastend riff raff ? but i am surprised that either lehman's standards to be in a diner eating jellied eels, or maybe Jamie and chubby were trying to find a bit of culture ? the plot thickens ! personally if i were lehman i totally understand, he is an intelliegent european, sophisticated, cultured, why on earth would he want to be seen with a couple of larger louts ?
PUREGOLD
This is kindergarten stuff. We'll have merlin here in a moment saying "Lehmann started it".
hatespur
Lehman is just as bad, arrogant idiot!! His theatrics with Drogba were an embarrassment to the Premiership!!
BaldyYid
And Zokora isn't Baldy?? Think about your own players before lambasting anyone else'.
hatespur
you know, a slight push of the striker, telling to get out of his box as he goes to kick it, i have seen it time and time again, i think drogba is the arrogant one in all of this as he retaliated. talking about throwing your dollies out the pram when things don't go your way, infact isn't that like most of his team right now, notice how they all surrounded the ref... thats the embarrassment !
PUREGOLD
I must confess that Lehmann does embarrass himself and us on occassion. Whilst also stating that Lampard and Drogba are odious sh*** Jens doesn't have to get involved in this childishness. He is 36 ffs, he should be setting a good example to the youngsters and not be acting like a tw@.
hatespur
He's 37 now isnt he? And yes he does behave like a child. Like at Bolton when he slipped and started saying he'd been fouled. He needs to sort his napper out.
Rocky7
I couldn't care less until it has a disruptive influence on the team, but that appears to be happening more and more. Like at Bolton and Chelsea he should be the calm influence for the young charges and not setting an example of panic and anarchy. The worry is that it could have a detrimental effect of some players (i.e Eboue).

I wouldnt go and interrupt a man eating his dinner especially if big fat frank was about to tuck into his 5th desperate dan cow pie and had gravy dripping from his chin!
iceman10
Lehman would start a fightv with a paper bag if it blew across his area during a match. The man's an arse!
Blade1889
Well the paper bag should no better than to blow across his goalmouth! I hope If the paper bag ever tries it again Lehmann gives it a crunching 2 footer! God help a PLASTIC bag if it should ever cross his path the lambasting lehmann would give it for being bad for the environment would be x rated!.......LEHMANN, LEHMANN!
iceman10
LOL...anyway, Lehmann had kind words to say about Drogba, saying that he doesn't say anything personal and is a very nice guy away from the pitch. Lehmann also saw the incident after the game and said it looked embarassing. Anyway, I did find it funny that he complimented Drogba (a player who annoys me sometimes, but I do like for some reason...mainly because his horrible attempts at diving just makes me laugh), while totally sticking it to Lampy. That's not even getting into Cole vs Fabregas in the tunnel. This rivalry could get nasty over the next year or two.
Shinobi
Lehmann started it....
OLASAL
why would lehmann want to say hello to a chav player in a restaurant, I still can get my head round that one. Fat Frank must have an over inflated opinion of his own ego.
gazzap
Hang on... Lampard...eating...noooooooooo!
Little Dutch
Talk about a storm in a teacup. Get real Frank!
sandgroanun
maybe jens didnt notice frank was there with all those people trying to lift him,and jens would be very annoyed with that forklift truck beeping in his ear,i know i would
fran merida
have to say, listening to merson speak afterwards was very very funny, i hope he gets more live games, he is brilliant !
PUREGOLD
Lehamnn does need to calm down but it also shows how passionate he is aboute Arsenal, however maybe he could set a example from now on. As for Lampard I bet he is just trying to restore his image and in turn make Jens the bad guy, so frank dun try it unless you want more people to go and blank you.
gunner-minesh
Hahaha. I think they're both hilarious. But yeah, I wish Lehmann would mellow out a bit with his sometimes questionable antics, but not his passion for the team.
ducksworth
They'll face each other twice a yr, what's the problem?
