Arsenal Draw PSV

Arsenal will take on PSV in the first knockout stage of the Champions League.

The Gunners have an excellent record against the dutch outfit and are unbeaten against them in the Champions League, and while no game is easy, it is a tie you would expect us to qualify from.

Arsenal are away for the first game on February 20 or 21. The return leg will take place at Ashburton Grove on March 6 or 7.

In other ties, Josie Moaninho visits his old club Porto, lets hope he gets the reception he deserves.

Man Utd got the 'easiest draw with a visit to Lille, Celtic got a plum tie in their first outing in the knockout stages with AC Milan, while 5 times winners Liverpool has the tricky test of playing the current holders.

On current form all the british teams would have a good chance to qualify but a lot can change between now and Febuary! Etoo will be back for Barca, Henry for Arsenal! Its all very exciting, Any spuds fans passing through? THIS IS WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT! Whens the UEFA cup draw?!!

I'm happy with this draw....there were some tough potential games out there I have been to PSV twice, once when we drummed them 4-0, and the second time when Lauren & Vieira were dismissed They are OK. We should win this tie fairly comfortably

It' today Iceman; Live on Eurosport!!! lol

I think il skip that one! lol

Good draw because we really should come through, but it's in keeping with our current cup tradition in that I've been there a few times already. I've got a sneaky feeling Liverpool are gonna do Barca, I think it'll be 0-0 in the Nou Camp and the scousers will nick it 1-0 at Anfield. Speaking of which I see Gerrard has slated Les Reed for not making him feel more at ease during Euro 2000- are you beginning to get my point about this guy now?
Little Dutch
Great Draw, confident that we will go through if all our players are fit and the real Henry is back, but as all gooners know our team will put us through the emotional wringer first!!! I fancy Porto putting Chelski out, they'll be up for it, as for Liverpool, I think its an easy game for Barca, as we are destined to meet them again and give them a good spanking!!!!

hmmm shall i fly or shall i drive, great memories of psv,my friend had a ten inch ready rolled dutch cigerette in his pocket,he got searched on the way in,and when the policeman found it he said"ohh thats a big one,i hope you enjoy it"remember gilberto, our stand was bouncing up and down, and we sung our hearts out as the gunners rip them to bits
fran merida
oooh la la la we got the flying dutchman ! kewl, i fancy got to the Phillips stadium ! might take in the sights, buy some cheese and clogs, coffee and cake the usual
PUREGOLD
The stadium's o.k (particularly because they have a great big radiator positioned above the away enclosure), but Eindhoven is a very boring town. Drove the first time (when the car got broken into), got the train second time via Brussels (where my mate got mugged). Fran, if you're interested, there's a nice little coffee shop next to the stadium just off the town centre. At least that's what my mate told me :-)
Little Dutch
Oh and it's very easy to stay in Amsterdam for this game. At PSV, they have a train platform adjoined to the away enclosure with trains that go non stop to Amsterdam. Originally designed with the intention of getting Ajax fans out of dodge as quickly as possible, but I bet the train companies make a killing in 'curious' tourists!
Little Dutch
LD Eindhoven is great city to go out in, it's a case of knowing where! There is one street, Zatenstraat, or some such, which has over 50 bars on it!!!!

LD what did u mean ealier when you said do you know what i mean about this guy, les reed or steve gerrard
hazzagooner
Steven Gerrad, self absorbed self obssesses little ****.
Little Dutch
Hey!! This is a tought tie for Arsenal
AndyDaKing
Nothing is easy at this stage...NOTHING. I bet United struggles to get past Lille (though they will beat them), and I wouldn't be surprised if Celtic puts on over Milan. I'm hoping the Perse comes up with a big game, playing in his home country. Would be great to see him fire one of those 30 foot rockets into the top corner.
Shinobi
and shinobi i hope porto stuff maureen ! muhahahaha... it is a tough draw, no team is an easy prey at this stage, but i think this is where we raise out game and we will have players back and inform by then
PUREGOLD
Not too bad, could have had much worse so PSV will be a good game to watcjh, c'mon Arsenal!
gunner-minesh
But U will lose
cusop
Its what you all voted for in your poll.
SeasideEssexXile
Considerign who you could of drawn, you have to be fairly happy with PSV.
Tierney
cheers LD,ive been to holland more times than i can remember,im getting a bit tired of dam,and fancy spending the day in eindhoven,i think i will check out zatenstraat, btw i was in the one coofee shop 5 minutes from the stadium on my way back from the world cup, there use to be one opposite the stad, but it was closed down for underage customers
fran merida
Liverpool look like they have the tie of the round, but who cares?
