Fabregas Strikes Back

Cesc Fabregas says that Ashley Cole is gone and forgotten at Arsenal after the pair reportedly clashed in the tunnel after the game.

Cole left Arsenal after a situation that can only be described as…well; I`ll let you use your imagination.

Speaking to the News of the World, Fabregas said: "For me, Ashley Cole is a closed subject. He is not a friend because after leaving Arsenal he said many unjust things about us.

'In the world of football, respect between companions is the key - and he broke this rule.

'This player is forgotten - and also the person. I do not want to speak to him again.'
In his book 'My Defence` Cole wrote: 'With all due respect to Cesc, he is no Patrick Vieira.

'It's like putting the gloves of a heavyweight champion on the hands of an unproven featherweight and telling him to go out there and knock out the opposition.'

Cesc also looked to set the record straight on a few things. First, Cole`s claim that he was mistreated at Arsenal: 'I believe that Cole was very well treated by Arsenal and that his response was not correct.

The midfield maestro also rubbished claims by Cole that some of the younger players at the club thought they were stars long before they had achieved anything: 'I still don't think I am a star, but a player who desires to progress each day.

'On the pitch I appear to be fragile but week by week I am ripening and will never be intimidated by anyone. Never.'

Well said, Fabregas. And what was Cole thinking trying to reconcile all matters with a handshake after the match. Did he actually think that Fabregas was going to say Ok, good game, mate? After all the crap he said about him? And then running after him into the tunnel and arguing. Ugh, he's so lowly.

He was a disgrace to the club, and as Fab said, he is history so ***** him..

Cesc's sentiments reflect my own. Cole is gone and not even on my radar. The best thing Cesc can do is use Cole's pathetic whining as motivation. I like the way Cesc seems to be ruffling feathers, Sheringham, Zokora, Cole, shows he's becoming agressive and won't take **** from anybody.
Little Dutch
yeh he has a mean and aggressive streak to his game, the kid is going to be a legend, a future world player of the year..
luckys_10
He's crap.
HATEtheGOONS
Dis it involve tongues boys.. YOU ARE PATHETIC
cusop
Whereas you Cusop, are the epitome of sense and dignity. Perhaps someone could buy you some adult literacy classes this christmas.
Little Dutch
Leave cusop alone. He has every right to belittle our team that have only won 6 times as many league titles as he has. And also more appearances in Champions League Finals by a factor of...umm...infinity?
Jammathon
good maths?! Cole leaving is sadly modern football! he cashed into the book deal and had to write controversial stuff to sell it!! Sad selfish and greedy, the scourge of modern football!!
BaldyYid
The positive thing is that nobody seems to be buying his book. The fans are just getting sick of parasites like him.
Little Dutch
He certainly doesn't take any crap! I like his stance on the Cole situation. A bit off subject, but has anyone noticed how Rosicky seems to love getting in to tackles and gives us a bit more of a physical egde...I wasn't expecting that when we first signed him, I must admit and I think we're missing it at the moment, along with his natural attacking flair.

Fabregas is a future Arsenal captain in my opinion. Who is this Cole fella anyway?!

Fair play to the lad...time to move on!

I too noticed Fabregas developing a bit of an edge to his game this season, and it's something that I welcome.
