Henry Wants Scousers Return

Injured Arsenal captain Thierry Henry has targetted the Gunners FA Cup 3rd round trip to Anfield in the new year as his return game.

Henry has suffered a couple of injuries that have kept him out of some very important games, but now looks to help the Gunners progress in the competition the Arsenal have made their own.

"I have spoken to the boss about it and I think I will miss all of Christmas, but hopefully I can come back quickly in the New Year.'

'It might be a nice way to come back against Liverpool in the FA Cup but we`ll have to see it might be afterwards."

Return Of The King, can't wait..

What better game to return in. Should be a great game!

I think this break will have done him the world of good. I've a feeling he and AW have had words and I think he will come back fresher and sharper. That could be crucial for our CL progress, we couldn't progress very far without him.

Anyone think he's been blagging it?

Mmmmm, not so much. I think he's obviously very fatigued, but I think his motivation has been poor this season. My view is he's got a few aches and pains and le boss has cut his losses and said, have a month off, get rid of the niggles and come back sharper and better than ever. A question of mathematics, do we want Henry at 50per cent the whole season, or at 100 per cent for the second half of the season?
Little Dutch
we want him 100% fit for the second half especially for our champions league run, and after this break, his motivation will be as high as it's ever been, and i feel he will emerge as a true leader of the team..

Yep...and the way he performed in the second half of last season was exceptional, while December wound up being his worst month (think he only had two goals in five games). A fresh, rivigorated and motivated Henry will do wonders for a team that I think is on the cusp of going on a nice, steady run.

2 games v Liverpool in a couple of days, great way to come back.
