'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Arsenal V Blackburn Half Time Update

Arsenal go in 3-1 up at half time after going 1-0 down inside two minutes.

Kolo Toure seemed to bring down Arsenal old boy David Bentley to give away a penalty which was converted by Shabani Nonda.

It seemed that it would be the same old story, Arsenal go 1 down and spend 70 minutes trying to chase the game but the Young Guns refused to accept their usual fate and fought their way back into the game, playing some sensational football.

The breakthrough came from an unusual scenario - a corner. Robin Van Persie swung in a corner for Gilberto to head home from 6 yards.

Arsenal continued to dominate, enjoying close to 70% possession. Then in the 23rd minute Alex Hleb tapped home from 6 yards to give Arsenal the lead.

It didn't stay 2-1 for long though, Lucas Neil brought own Adebayor inside the penalty area. The giant striker converted the resulting penalty to make it 3-1.

I can honestly say that what I have just watched is some of the best football I have seen from any team all season. Consider the fact that it is without some of our best and most experienced players and it really is a frightening prospect!

Really?, can't see the live game here...but there's the delay coming up...can't wait to see the Gunners performance today... :)

They're giving us a run for our money now. They've gone 3-4-3 and are begging to get back into the game. If they do come back to 3-3 then that srel goes some way to showing that anti-football isn't always the way to beat/get a draw with Arsenal?

Who is man of the match? The team?
G4L
I ont think I can pick a man of the match. Everyone without exception was exceptional today.
simmy8_2000
yeh but toure looked a little off colour today, he had a few lapses of concentration, the defence needs to tighten up for the away games, but a great performance overall, and a great start to the festive period..
luckys_10
fabregas, a little ficking gem, prize asset, and mozart is such a tidy player, unlucky not to get his first goal at the grove, he will soon, UP THE GOONS !!
hazzagooner
Luckys, Toure wasn't himself today but he still did well!

I have to say that after seeing MOTD, I think Cesc was MOTM. He was everywhere, should have scored himself but hey, we mustn't be greedy.
