'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Eboue: I'm No Cheat!

Since 'that goal' in Paris back in May, Manu Eboue has been called a cheat just about every week.

It did appear that the talented defender took a dive back then but I think that the constant jibes since then are unfair and Eboue agrees.

Speaking ahead of Arsenal's 6-2 demolishion of Blacjburn Eboue said: 'It is not my style to play like that.

'I honestly didn't mean to and I apologised immediately.

'I'm not out on the pitch to mess about or have a laugh. Sometimes you can be light-hearted, but not all the time. It depends on the situation.

Manu also explained why he and Robbie Keane went toe-to-toe in the North London Derby earlier this month.

Eboue said: 'When I came up against Robbie Keane, in that recent game against Tottenham, I got very angry because first he provoked me, then he annoyed me, then he trod on me and then he insulted me.

'I don't accept that. I don't like being insulted or shouted at by a player. I just want to do my job well and I don't like people messing about with me during a game.'

i believe him, there are about 100 players in the league right now who are worse than him..

I believe that he doesn't set out to intentionally dive, but there's no getting away from the fact that he does. I don't like it, and I wish he'd stop!!

yes and what makes it worse are his theatrics. a little over the top !! but a fantastic player, so take the good with the bad?

is it me or since the champ league final he has been falling down alot ? i don't like it either, and i am sure wenger will tell hm so, and lauren will come back in when fit and that will be the lesson to eboue.

spot on PG. Eboue needs competition, it will make him a better player - and maybe some defending tapes, Lee Dixon-style:)) As far as our RB position: I am concerned about Ralph, what can we expect from him and what can he offer? It will surely take him a while to get back to his former self, and the pace of the game isn't getting slower. Maybe a midfield role would suit him more when he gets back. Hoyte looked shaky vs. Rovers, got caught out of position several times and lost a lot of headers to Bentley and Gamst-Pedersen. He does look gritty, great pace. I like him, but I feel he's not playing with confidence, looks like he's holding back a bit. He needs to improve his positioning, be more focused and physical. Get some (hate to say this!) Cashley C. crunch-tackles in. And then there's Kerrea Gilbert. What of him?
