Van Can Be The Man

Marco Van Basten says that Robin Van Persie can be the best player in the world.

The 23-yar-old Dutchman has been on fire for club and country this season with 10 goals for Arsenal and a string of sensational performances for Holland.

He has been criticized in the past for being too selfish, a fault that he has correcte of late. He played a major role in recent victories over Blackburn and Watford.

His performances have not gone un-noticed though. His national team coach - Marco Van Basten has praised the youngster.

Van Basten said: 'He has become aware now that he has the potential to become the best player in the world.

'And I think he is working really hard in the Arsenal team on the pitch and on the training ground to live up to the expectations.'

Van Basten says that he had to change his whole plan for the wold cup because of how impressed he was with Van Persie: 'Robin was not yet an established player, but when he arrived in the training camp he was unbelievably fit and so full of energy.

'I had an idea of what was the strongest and most experienced team to play for Holland, but then he made such a huge impact and was so strong in training that I changed the plans all for him.'

The Dutch national manager also says that Van Persie couln't be in a better place to learn and devolp his trade: 'Robin is on the perfect stage at Arsenal now.'

Loved the way he corrected his shellfishness on Morgan. Dumber than a rock lobster.

he can certainly be the man, but he needs to show a bit more respect to his teammates, and if he wants to be the next Bergkamp, then the first thing he needs is to change his attitude how Dennis was, because DB10 was the perfect team man, who always respected everyone in the team, and never gave a cold shoulder to anyone, that's what RVP needs to learn, he needs to win over all his teammates first, then comes everything else..

seems like spurs have a new idiot fan ! whitenorf ( I am taking your great bit away now ) why on earth you seem intent on winding us up is beyond me, when your poor home performance against liverpool, away to newcastle is not much to be crowing about is it... come back when you actually WON something ok, now pish off and be a good little kid ok.

'You won the league, in black and white, you won the league in black and white.' Do you think he's been put back in his place yet?

I think they have a competition back there at sp*rs vital: every month they randomly choose 'Make a fool of yourself on Vital Arsenal' and they get bonus points if they can make it for more than 1 week. This time it was norf who won, but no bonuses for him. He went to find the pictures from the '61 parade and sigh in loneliness.
