Ogbuke Transfer Back On?

Lyn Oslo striking starlet Chinedu Ogbuke could be on his way to the Premiership, with Arsenal, United Chelsea and Liverpool all rumoured to be interested in the youngster.

Ogbuke had sealed a transfer to Lokomotiv Moscow last month but it has since fallen through for reasons unknown.

It is thought that the 21-year-old striker could face some issues obtaining a work permit for a move to England. The words 'feeder` and 'club` spring to mind!

His manager, and former Manchester United defender Henning Berg says that his player is good enough for the premiership: 'Edu is good enough to play in the Premier League, I know that.

'The question is which club in the Premier League. There is bigger competition between these clubs than others.

'He has got permission to check if other clubs show interest during January.

'In case he is not sold during January, he will stay with us.'

He also believes that Manchester United will not follow up their previous interest in him: 'I know they have seen him earlier in the autumn.

'But I don't think it is likely now that they have brought in Henrik Larsson.

Arsene Wenger has claimed that he will not be signing anyone but the imminent departures of Anthony Stokes and Arturo Lupoli could tempt Wenger to make a move for the forward.

Imminent departure of Stokes? Is it for sure?

There is an article on Arsenal.com where Wenger gives his reason for letting Stokes go, he also says it's up to Stokes wtether or not that move is permanaent!

Not certain but it's looking likely
simmy8_2000
Celtic looks his most likely destination.

I maybe wrong here...but It seems to be that Wenger is letting people go if they make too many noises about demanding the first team apperences. He says it is upto the player to decide. So it is a notice of sorts to the players to show that they deserve and wait like everyone else. Eg is his comments about Lupoli wanting to back to Italy. He said "ofcourse we will respect his wishes". But I have a feeling that Stokes would knukkle down and wait for some more time.

It seems Stokes is leaving for Celtic for Euro 3.6Mil.

That's a shame. I hope the last bit is true "Roy Keane spent six hours last night trying to persuade the youngster to sign for Sunderland." Can't stand Keane! Anyway, I hope Stokes stays at Arsenal but if he doesn't then I wish him well in his career (unless he's playing agsinst us).

the truth, stokes is irish. So therefore not 'another englishman leaving arsenal'. Grw up, and try and come up with somethign original next time instead of your usual drivel you post here, for lack of anythign interesting and perceptiv to say. Regarding Stokes, everyone, there are articles surfacing on more reputable websites this evening that quote stokes saying he is signing until 2011 with charlton. »»Arsene Knows««

life is like a box of chocolates and the truth is like a mouldy old spud, just read on Arsenalmania that we're offloading Freddy and that hes gutted, sounds like Paddy all over - any thoughts?

Question, I know Stokes was banging the in for fun in Scotland but is he really that good? I know Arsene has an eye for talent and that again and again Arsene knows but do you think Le Boss is making the right decision in letting the lad go?
