Wenger: We Will Turn Things Around

Arsene Wenger believes his squad can turn things around with a bit of resilience.

Arsenal's form this season is patchy to say the least, but Wenger has faith that his younger players can help turn things around.

“By the high standards we set here at Arsenal, this is a pretty bad spell, I don’t deny that.

“But it’s a bit of a transition period for us because it is a team that has changed.

“It is about me rolling my sleeves up with the players to turn things around and not to make too much of a fuss about it.

“These players are learning quickly. What Fabregas, Flamini and van Persie have got in the last three months can change quickly in the next three months.

“You saw from our game against Doncaster that the spirit in the squad is great, we battled until the last second and that is the kind of qualities we need again.

“But we also showed that in our last two games - against Newcastle, where we finished with 10 men, and against Chelsea.

“At the moment, things are not going in our favour. If you are in a great period, you would win those two games.

“But we have to keep that spirit and show the resilience.

“We just want to keep going and things will turn round for us. It’s part of the club to go through periods like this.”
