Ladies & gentlemen, Gooners & girl Gooners, dogs & cats, lions & tigers & bears....oh my....................IT'S COMPETITION TIME!!!

Ok so it's not quite competition time, but it will be very soon.

Vital Arsenal are proud to present we will be helping Punk/Alternative/Trip Hop & Gooner band, 'Riders Of The Night' promote their new album, and the band have very kindly donated a signed copy for us to give away in the latest Vital Arsenal competition.

First lets learn a little more about 'The Riders Of The Night' with some information taken from their myspace web page.

The Riders of the Night are a collective of musicians, window cleaners, duckers & divers, bricklayers and hooligans all with one thing in common. An un-swerving loyalty and pathological love for Arsenal Football Club.

On a mission to liven up the whole genre of 'football records', the band's music approaches the subject from a more unorthodox angle. Through various musical styles they recount tales of the old days when going to a football match was a very different adventure from the 'family entertainment experience' of today. Their first release is the 3 track CD, 'We're The Clock End, Highbury' released by The Menacing Jester Recording Company which features 'Eyes Right...' a powerful punk anthem lamenting various Highbury Heroes and magic moments in the life of a Gooner.

On 'The Midnight Patrol' Mick The Bins recollects tales from the 70's and the more unsavoury side of what it was like following your team back in the day. Done in their unique 'Trip-notic Ruckumentary' style. 'The Original Gooner' is what it says on the tin. The story of how the word 'Gooner' came about from the horses mouth so to speak. The Riders Of The Night are now currently working on their new album due out in the new year and on which you will be able to meet more colourful characters and taken on more journeys, including a ride on the legendary Magical Mystery Tour.

The 'We're The Clock End, Highbury' CD is still available to download or to buy on hardcopy through 'The Menacing Jester' website. (or all good boozers in the N5 vacinity on match days)

For those of you unfamiliar with their work, 'Eye's Right' in particular is a stonking punk anthem that brings back some great Gooner memories in a headbanging, pissed up kind of way!
