van Persie Could Face United

Arsene Wenger has revealed Robin van Persie is still in with a shout of entering the battlefield with the war against Man Utd at Ashburton Grove on Sunday.

Gooners feared this seasons most deadly striker to date, would miss the clash due to injury, however Mr. Wenger says he still has a chance.

"At the moment we think it is a very short-term problem," said Wenger. "He is going for a scan and after that we will know more about it. He still has a very good chance of being available for Sunday."

i think there are very few players that can win a game like this, and RVP is deffo that type of player, wiltord was another and we all remember that one :P

I'd like RVP to be on the bench. But Adebayor has to start, United coped with the Henry/Bergkamp partnership for years, I think too many technical players does not bother United, we need a bit of a different element and that is Ade. Hleb, Rosicky, Cesc and Henry are all the creativity we could wish for, Ade will panic Ferdinand who has problems when players try to get in behind him (look at the goals United concede, always a ball in behind Rio). RVP will be better when the game is more stretched.
