Wenger Names 16 Man Squad

Arsene Wenger has named the 16 men (some of them are actually still just boys!) that will travel to Sh**e, I mean White Hart Lane for tonight's League Cup Semi Final first leg agaisnt Spurs.

As I mentioned, there are 4 changes from the team that made Liverpool look like Livingston.

Philippe Senderos, Alexander Hleb, Mathieu Flamini and Emmanuel Eboue come in for Johan Djourou (injured), Alex Song(international duty), Matthew Connolly and Henri Lansbury (suspended).

2. Abou Diaby
4. Francesc Fabregas
5. Kolo Toure
6. Philippe Senderos
9. Julio Baptista
13. Alexander Hleb
15. Denilson

Fair few internationals with Prem experience there - should be interesting. Four first team regulars added to the squad. I think it will represent a strong starting 11.

where is the excuse? Have you lot not been saying it dont matter if you lose cos the kids will be playing? Every word i said is absolutely true. Still, if we cant beat that side, which is still "under strength" I can't see us ever beating you goons. I was just pointing out i think it is stronger than most people expected.

No merida and do we assume that if Hleb, cesc and flamini have travelled that they will play? i hope not all of them start. there is no need to risk the fitness of hleb and cesc for this game. have them as subs by all means, just in case they are needed.

The only inclusion that surprises me is Hleb. I felt we'd line up with Walcott on the right and Ali on the left, I guess this means Ali and the Beast upfront. Probably have Hoyte at left back as well.

I think Cesc will be on the bench. I expect the team to be Almunia; Eboue, Kolo, Senderos, Hoyte; Walcott, Denilson, Diaby, Hleb; Aliadiere, Baptista. Subs; Cesc, Flamini, Poom, Randall, Traore.
