Spurs Lucky As Beast Is Caged

Tottenham can thank their lucky stars that Julio 'The Beast' Baptista has been ruled out of the League cup semi final second leg.

The Beast is in fine form in the competition, scoring six goals in his last two games, indeed the big Brazilian bagged a brace at White Hart Lane last time out.

Bappers suffered a groin injury after coming on as a sub in the 1-1 draw with Bolton last Sunday.

"Julio Baptista will be absent for this game. It is a big regret for me because he has led the team recently with a huge spirit. His mental strength was obvious in the game at Tottenham because he scored an own goal then he put two in the net at the other end. That is always the best answer you can give.' said Mr Wenger.

Le Gaffer also revealed Gilberto will take to the field once again after his absence through susspension.

"I think he will miss the Tottenham game and the Middlesbrough game. But I hope he will be back after that. Gilberto is available again and will play."

If we need to play 2 upfront, shouldnt it be ade? theo will play on right wing, i think, with hleb also out. a good chance for ali here, with RVP and the beast out.

Def. Ade, the pogo from Togo has more than proved himself, Ade and Ali if we're saving Henry 4 Boro

I think that will be the route AW will take. I think Ali does better with physically imposing strike partners as the defenders will be thinking about the other one when ali can run around them in circles and be at the right position. But I would like walcott to play upfront, hopefully to give him a good chance to score. And another hope is not to have Fab play. We need to keep him fresh for the next few months.

I really hope Aliadiere has a good game against the Sp*rs. This is his chance to shine at Ashburton and repay the faith that AW has kept in him. It could well be one of his last chances. the team for me: Almunia, back 4: Senderos+Kolo+Justin+Traore, MF:Gilberto+Denilson+Flamster central Walcott+Aliadiere on the flanks and Adebayor up front. Would be very strong in the middle and dangerous on the breaks just like against Liverpool. To all those going: MAKE SOME NOISE!!!

I think AW will play the people G4L suggested, but probably in a 4-4-2 formation as usual. I will be interesting to see who will play in what position in midfield. I'm guessing maybe, denilson DM, gilberto CM, flams LM, & walcott RM.

We should be right without him but i recon a 4-5-1 should do the trick, ade cool has played better up front on his own and aliadiere and walcotts pace on the wings could do the trick, but i'd like to see diaby and denilson in the middle in front of Gilbert O'Silva instead of the flamster. Diaby running at defenders down the centre and denilson dictating the pace.

G4L i feel Fabregas should start. we can rest him for the weekend game. and without him, i du nsee the midfield you suggested creating much, and this will be walcott's third game in a week, and for a kid of his age, i feel that is too much, but Henry should be for atleast half an hour in the second half..
