Eye Of The Tiger!

Anyone seen Rocky III here? Then you will know where I am coming from.

In the film Apollo Creed says to Rocky after his defeat, whilst the walk around a gym in LA, ' see that look in their eye Rock, EYE OF THE TIGER'

he refers to the hunger, the desire to do well, the eye of the tiger..

Now you may wonder where all of this is leading... well it`s leading to tonight of course, our kids seem to have this desire, a hunger to do well under Wenger, a passion not only to play some amazing football but to not give up and keep going.

I think Traore & Denilson are very exciting and will use the stage of playing at home to show exactly what they can do.

I hope they win tonight and go to Cardiff to meet the ultimate challenge of playing against an expensive over paid team of so called superstars.

What amazes me more is the age of this team, so young but so composed and the most frightening thing about them is that they haven't peaked yet!

To imagine what this team will acheive should they stay together in a few years time is unimaginable, they could go on and break every record going.

What would be also good, is how little the team cost to assemble, you only have to compare the two teams tonight and work out how much each team cost, on that basis the more expensive team should win the game, but we all know that is never the case.

I wish the kids luck tonight, although something tells me they won't be needing my wishes!

Ultimate challenge? If we are undeserving being called superstars, you won't have a problem beatin' us.

We have to get there first Chav. At least we will all go to Cardiff if we do triumph tonight. You lot will have some excuse of having played Celtic in a friendly in August so you can't afford it.

I think it will be wonderful for this team to win some silverware, though too much success too soon can also backfire. but these kids have arsene to keep their feet firmly on the ground, so exciting times ahead. really looking to how they cope tonight, coz i can spurs will come at us really hard, seeing that they have nothing to lose.

You don't deserve to be called superstars because you have inherited your wealth, not earned it. Not hard to fathom really.

ooh didn't realise this was going to make front page, I just keep hearing apollo creed saying EYE OF THE TIGER MAN EYE OF THE TIGER... cue SURVIVOR song.... fireworks blah blah ... superstars is what Jose calls your players, not me.. so maybe you should take it up with your manager mr Chav man.

i'm not annoyed by that.I said if, because your article (nice article though i should say, thumbs up) heavy implied that we are not worthy of that name, dimishing our team.Call us what you want LD, with or without Abramovich, we would still be a strong team, most likely not what we are now, but we were gettin back on tracks, and going to UCL, something, spurs with their little money , weren't capable of doing.

K_chelski, thanks due, but please, without Roman i think most chavs would recognise you couldn't sustain your spending and wage bill, you would make huge loses and do a Leeds Utd.. i would go one further and say without Jose you wouldn't be the same. haha and as for spurs, their owner mr joe lewis has more money than arsenal, yet won't spend spend spend, obviously doesn't think they are Lorial ;)

PG - this article was so apt, and it looks even better to read now, after the game :). sweet sweet !! what a walloping. spurs played crap today, and we played extra time like a team possessed. no way we could have lost this one.

You sound like Sugar Ray Leonard hosting The Contender.Anyways, it will be a great game in cardiff.I would be a bit more happy if Julio Baptista(or gilberto silva,Denilson) didn't play, after all, it's hard to cheer against a man from your nation, but if he does, feck him.I'm chelsea all the way.

Did anyone else notice Denilson looks like a new Edu, but with better distribution. Hes like a good mix of Goalberto and Cesc, looks very exciting

Oh yeah and credit to everyone who played, but i thought once again we put on a first team full back and wide middle and the two absoloutely destroyed them. Rosicky's best display in an Arsenal shirt, he gave the Tottenscum a footballing lesson, and Clichy was outstanding again. MOTM Denilison!

Denilson had a great game, you'd expect nothing else from under 21 Brazilian capt I s'pose, what a prospect, him and Fab in the Arsenal midfield, pure FLAIR, what a future! it aint fackin orange tho - but red and white

Yes, great player, but your selfishness didn't let the kid play in the world youth south american qualifiers. We went through hard games without him : -I.

i thought denilson looked great, great technique and striker of the ball, very exciting prospect and i don't think it will be long before he is a regular in the first team.
