Diaby Suffers Injury Setback

Abou Diaby could be facing another lengthy layoff after he suffered an injury to the ligaments in his knee during the 3-1 victory over Spu*s.

The French midfielder only returned from a nine month injury earlier in the month after he suffered a broken and dislocated ankle last season. Dan Smith was the culprit back then, it is not known when Diaby suffered this latest injury.

Wenger didn`t go into any great detail when speaking about it. He only had this to say: "Diaby is out with a knee problem, twisted ligaments.

"He has a scan later today."

I`m sure you`ll all join me in wishing Diaby well. We can only hope that it is only a minor injury, otherwise he could be facing months on the sideline.

Ah man!! It does rain it pours.

Gutted, he looked so Vieira-like it was frightening. With a bit of luck it's just a twinge and he'll be back in a few weeks.

when he was taken off it had nothing to do with the injury and he did not look ready to come off. but I do remember him getting in a couple of tangles with spuds players when it could have happened. he must have felt it afterwards. It was good to see him take exception to the foul on Senderos and stand up for him. he was clearly remembering a similer tackle by dan smith.

first time seeing Abou in the flesh last night, and i was dead impressed. The way the guy plays is like (dare I say it...) Paddy, but with a better touch(!!!). I hope he's not out too long. What a midfield in the making - Gibber, Cesc, Diaby, Denislon, Hleb, Rosicky. And Merida still to come through, along with possibly Lansbury, Randall, Van Den Berg & Barazite. Whew... »»Arsene Knows««

Oh well at least we can take some comfort in the fact that Cashley has just been injured haha! hope abou isnt out too long!

re cashley: yeah, couldn't happen to a nicer chav. maybe he can get a nice pristine white plaster cast to wear on his knee, to go with that white suit he wore in that lame photoshoot, the little worm. »»Arsene Knows««

lol wingston, I enjoyed Hansons in depth critisism of him on MOTD a couple of weeks back, now he's injured aswell, it just gets better and better. But i'm not wasting anymore energy typing about him, have everything crossed that Diaby etc are able to play in the final they helped get us to and Billy gets to play aswell!!
TR7
It took so long to come back. Now the same story line appears to have popped up again. It's annoying when expectations are dashed quickly like this. Wish speedy recovery for Diaby!
SWPACIFIC
lets just hope it is not a long spell injury..Unlucky Diaby
