Lukasz Is Gunner Be Fab

I don't think many Arsenal fans knew the name 'Lukasz Fabianski' when the Polish youngster signed for The Gunners during the close season.

After hearing names like Buffon and Akinfeev bounded around in the media, it was something of a let down, but after we all rushed to find out all we could about the 22-year-old, we all came to our senses and realised that it was yet another Wenger master stroke.

We now know that he is held in higher regard than Igor Akinfeev in Eastern Europe and Russia.

No big deal to some people, but when you consider that Akinfeev is considered one of, if not the best goalkeeping prospect in the world, it makes it all rather exciting!

Wenger obviously shares this view, or he wouldn't have brought Lukasz to Arsenal. Speaking to Arsenal.com the manager said: 'I think Fabianski will be a great keeper.

'For me he will become the best Polish keeper.'

He may be only 22, and lack experience, but Wenger rejected claims that he should be sent on loan in order to gain that all important experience: 'In football you can only play one keeper.

'He will get his chance but he is only 22-years-old. So far I have been very, very impressed with him.'

I hope so, I am not liking Lehmans attitude at all. You should never speak out against your own teammates ( assuming he said those things). It's good to see a player that will be around long term.

yet another great signing by AW

So far my favorite bit of Wookash is his awareness. As soon as he recieves the ball he's looking for an outlet.......unlike Paul "how far can I kick the ball" Robinson.

If he's said to be better than Akinfeev then we might as well believe it, Akinfeev WILL be one of the best, it's just a shame we couldn't get him.

mistake-free keeper... I love Lehmann, but we all know that we can do better. Let's hope Lukasz is the one, if Wenger says the kid's good, I won't look any further.
