We've Found What We Were Missing

Cesc Fabregas believes that Arsenal have found what has been missing from their performances over the last couple of seasons.

Consistency and goals from midfield were both missing from Arsenal's performances last season.

So far this year Arsenal have not lost a game, indeed, they have won all but one of their games - a goaless draw away to Blackburn.

Fabregas has already scored more goals this term than he did in the whole of last season. Hleb is well on his way to doing the same, while Rosicky has scored one goal.

Speaking to The Sun Fabregas said:'Last season I had the same chances and never scored. But this year I've had even less and scored more.

'We need to keep winning, which was what we were missing the last two seasons.

'We lost a lot of points at the beginning, had to come back, and it was too difficult as the teams at the top did not lose any points.

'We're on a good run but have to keep going as this was just one game. It's just the beginning.'

It was'nt a goalless draw at Blackburn Simmy! You must've mentally blocked out Jens' howler mate.

Ok so TH14 - do we miss you now. NO - we have a little spanish lad that saw the ambition of one MR Wenger ( Arsene knows) , turned down all of Real Madrids overtures to stay with the club that gave him a chance. He didnt make excuses about DD, ambition or perhaps Wenger being unsure. No he put his faith in the greatest club in the world and guess what TH14, we are top of the table, playing with a spirit that is amazing and even if these lads dont win the title this year TH, they have shown themeelves to have a fight and a belief that I am afraid you did not have. Yes we have found what we were missing and that is a little talisman that gets stuck in and dosent give a gaelic shrug when things are going wrong. Hey TH, perhaps we will see you in the Champs Lge Final - perhaps not as it seems your new team cant score - uhhmm - does that remind me of last year.

Before anyone jumps all over me about TH, he was a great player for us, I just didnt like the way he tried to find excuses about the club when really he just wanted to divorce his wife. Also, lets be honest, when the chips were he was not the man to get the troops motivated.

If we've found what was missing, let's not lose it again. I really believe, like themadafrican, that an ingredient wasn't missing for the last 2 years, but there was an abundance of poisoning EGO in the dressing room all that time. World class quality stiker, but certainly not a team player. If he'd been an asset to the TEAM, then Arsene wouldn't have allowed him to leave under any circumstances

Cesc is just doing what he threatened to do all og last season. On countless occasions he had opportunities to score but somehow managed to find a way to miss or be denied by a spectacular piece of keeping. Hopefully Cesc can keep it up. we will need him against Sevilla as they are a great team and will surely be one of the biggest tests of the entire season.

Cesc has a point, in that he is taking the same kind of shots this season compared to last. However, 2 things that strike me is his immense self-confidence and improved luck this season. May he score more goals.

Wenger spoke about balance in a team, and I think that's the reason things are looking so good. The sum is greater than it's parts, and we have good quality parts! The spirit, the unity in a team has so much influence. Everybody else being happy and supportive is a platform for guys like Cesc to shine.

Well lads! Time for me to take my medicine, bring on the abuse. I have to say now that Cesc has started to score, you may have the complete midfield player. Any team that has a midfield player that can bang in 15 goals a season, should have a good season. I have to confess, I really thought we had a shout at beating you guy's.

The real time to shine will be after you play Manure at home, your fixture list has been blessed until then. Of the 8 games youve played since start of prem only had 3 away games (Only travelled twice outside of london). Of the next 9 fixtures you play away 3 times and again only twice will you travel outside of london. You will have a lot more travelling and away fixtures after that!
