Traore Arrested At White Hart Lane
Arsenal wonder kid, Armand Traore was arrested on Saturday, and formally cautioned, for amazingly taking a set of knuckle dusters to White Hart Lane.
As I flicked through the daily rags this morning my eyes widened with astonishment as I read the article informing me of Traore's arrest.
The young Frenchman was arrested after Armand tried to gain entry to White Hart Lane for the first North London derby of the season after being omitted from the squad.
Traore, 17, was asked to empty his pockets at the turnstiles of WHL where it was revealed the left-back had a set of KNUCKLE DUSTERS in his pocket.
He was immediately arrested, along with a friend and taken into custody for questioning. He was later released after being formally cautioned.
The apparent difference in laws between England and France were the reason that Traore didn't realise he was doing anything wrong.
But I choose to believe that he'd been forewarned of the pleasant reception you receive at WHL and worried he might be recognised.

I don't know whether the "laws different in England and France" thing was just a way of diffusing the situation or what. Still, it does seem a crazy thing to do. Topspur, do they often search the pockets of people entering WHL?

Yes Rocky they do search pockets. A mate of mine had his marajuana confiscated a few years back. Funny thing was he used to smoke it to calm him down. He was a f*** ng wreck.

No necassirily LD, a mate of mine used to carry a lethal pair of knuckledusters with spikes on them, yet he was soft as shlt and had never been in a fight in his entire life.......lol

I always find it far more dignified to chuckle quietly to yourself afri. You never know when the tables will be turned. Mind you, by the time Spurs beat us we'll probably be more concerned with having our colostomy bag changed and drawing our pension on time.

It's the norm for away fans to be frisked at WHL, but there's no question that Traore was stupid to carry somehting like that. Like I say, this guy had the chance to be a pro kickboxer, if there was any bother (not at all unlikely at the Lane) I'd chance that he could take care of himself no trouble.

I accept Traore's excuse - there are countries in Europe that allow these things, as well as knife-carrying in public. Sounds foreign to us in the UK, but it's true.

Trust me, when (and if) I get to London, I'll treasure every minute of walking to the Emirates! So in a nutshell: Namibia is good because it is a spud-free zone, but on the downside it's about 12000km's from the Emirates! Where would you rather be?

btw this story is just a big misunderstanding, you see young Armand turned up at WHL with his spurs supporting mate, so obviously substitute the word 'duster' with 'shuffler' and you can see how these gossipy media rumours get out of hand.

Legend in my opinion. He would be even more of a target than any other average gooner at the ground if some wee spuddie mob had of noticed him as an Arsenal player and considering how LD speaks of the treatment gooners get at the lane i dont blame him one bit.

To wear ... "To carry or have on the person as covering" - was it specified that Topspur had to wear the said rag as it might have been designed or merely as a covering on his person? Was it specified which part of his body it should cover? ... whilst it was foolish to agree to such an appalling forfeit, loopholes should be closed ... I have made similar bets and mates have been able to get out of them
