Arsenal Star In Race For Fitness

Arsenal Star In Race For Fitness

Just when Arsene Wenger thought he might get all his players back from International duty fully fit, Robin Van Persie suffers a knee injury.

Van Persie was substituted after 60 minutes in Holland's game against Slovenia when he fell awkwardly after a strong challenge.

Arsenal fans will be hoping he can recover for Arsenal's crunch period starting this weekend when they face Bolton. A week later the Gunners play Liverpool before Manchester United visit Ashburton Grove.

If Van Persie is out for some time, it'll be a chance for new-boy Eduardo Da Silva to show us some of the lethal finishing he's displayed for his adopted nation.

Looking at pictures of the moment got injured it does look quite serious. As you say, this is why we bought Eduardo. Time to shine Dudu. Against Bolton we'll need 2 strikers, but at Anfield he could play Hleb behind Adebayor.

It IS time for Eduardo to make his mark now, more so RVP's injured. How long will he be out though?

Chill Rocky. Our glass is always going to be 1/2 full this season. We're having a negativity ban. The spuds have enough for both of us in north London. Eduardo will come in for a couple of games, score goals and we'll be dabating whether the white van man should get his place back.

Oh I'm not worried by the injury HS, our squad is more than capable of taking care of business, just gutted for RvP. This is his season & I don't want him to miss out.
