Van Persie Out For A Month

Van Persie Out For A Month

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that star striker Robin van Persie has suffered a knee injury.

It's a massive blow for Arsenal as it means robin will miss not only this weekend's match against Bolton, but two games that could potentially decide who takes the Premiership crown come May.

"It looks like a knee injury. 'We will know later today how bad it is but the early signs are that he will not be able to perform for us in the next four weeks.

"It is a big blow. Robin is a striker, a supportive striker and important on set-pieces as well.

I hope he will be back soon and we’ll do the maximum to get him back."

Van Persie suffered the injury while playing for Holland on Wednesday night.

More bad news on the injury front.

Phillpe Senderos has been ruled out for at least two weeks after suffering a back injury playing for Switzerland.

His injury leaves Arsenal desperatly short at the back. It only takes a knock to Gallas to leave Arsenal with just one fit centre half.

robin's injury is terrible news, but on the flip side rosicky is back, and hopefully, that dude next to robin in the pic can bang in some goals.. and bendtner might be given a chance to show us why he thinks he deserves a place in the 1st 11.. and even walcott can play central attack if we're desperate.. but i reckon adebayor and eduardo shud do the trick against bolton and prague at least.

I was hoping it wouldn't be this bad, a month with so many tough games :(

I guess Gilberto will soon be back in the starting XI - as a centre back.

Its bad news, but I am not extremely concerned. This squad seems to have stepped up whenever necessary, lets hope Dudu and Bendtner can step up now. Gallas and Toure to partner at CB, so that will be solild. We should still have enough to handle Bolton, though Liverpool and ManU is a completely different challenge.

Bad news. BUT it's time for Adebayor to keep up the great work, for Eduardo to get a chance to shine (hopefully like he consistently does for Croatia), for Walcott/Bendtner to be given a game or two up front and for Bendtner to stop moaning.

A Man Utd Fan was talking to me the otherday and was shouting and spouting off thatr arsenmal are nothing without van persie and if we loost him to injury we would be ****ed, same old man utd there .... havnt a clue what there talking about .... got eduardo to fill in , walcott or even the moaner ... bendtner ... all could do the job in that position .... i dont rate senderos to be honest ... never have ... i always think he is capable of the odd mistake ... as our good friend cygan was lmao, but im sure we will be fine ... hopefully we can shut up a few critics and eduardo can get a place and fire some home

I'd love to see more of Eduardo. Let's hope he grabs this chance. Walcott and Bendtner are good too, but Dudu makes me most excited.
