'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fabregas On Liverpool Away

Following Arsenal's impressive 7-0 win in Europe this week, star midfielder Cesc Fabregas turns his attentions to Sunday's trip to Anfield.

'I feel valued and well loved. Also, I feel that I am getting strong but I need two or three more years to become completely mature athletically.

'Obviously it will be a great match. I am sure that both teams will give the best. We are on the top of the league, we are unbeaten, but to get a win at Anfield it will be very difficult.

'Each player feels that he is important for the team, and from this trust we have built a powerful squad. [Arsene] Wenger always avoid putting pressure on young players and this method seems to work!'

Blue is the colour
Its scary that he says he will get better in 2 or 3 years.
gunnerkid107
I'll be happy if we actually do BITC!!
Rocky7
I just want Arsenal to drop points.
k_chelski
why kevin,so man utd can win again? coz chel$ki will never win again in your lifetime.....mugs
fran merida
You're favourite to win the title. We'll just be the contenders, and try our best.
k_chelski
Come on, people, kev didn't mean any disrespect to Arsenal. He just wants Arsenal to lose points, as the team is becoming all too powerful and does not want the league to be one-sided.
BMF
NNNOOO!!! We are not favorites! We are doing so well, because we are underdogs and everyone keeps writing us out! Please take it back!!!
BMF
We are not favourites it's too soon for us to be. We are fourth favourites I reckon and that suits us fine.
Keplaz
Lets hope we can beat Liverpool and that man city drops some points to chelsea :P
AB_Arsenal
the bookies have liverpool as favourites guys so we are still underdogs...cmon arsenal lets show em what we do.
anonymous
We can't be favourites cos Lawrenson in the Sun says that Almunia is NOT a top class keeper and we lack experience.
radar
Just imagine the conversation " Mr Wenger your keeper is not top class"......... "thankyou Mr Lawrenson...are you one of the EXPERTS that tipped Spurs to take our champions league place ?"
radar
Lawro is a muppet.
storagematt
If Lawro says Manuel is not a top keeper, then he will play a blinder tomorrow and keep more clean sheets than anybody else!!
Rocky7
Be honest with yourselves guys, Almunia is not a top-class keeper. He has nowhere near the quality of Cech, Reina, Casillas and Buffon.
Aamir
Stupid arguement....Just because you are not ranked as one of the very best in the world it does not follow that you are not a top class keeper......its like saying Adebayor or RVP is nowhere the quality of Kaka, Henry , Ronaldinho etc....and then writing us off because of that. Lets give the guy a run and see what happens eh ? Or shall we ask AW to listen to the prats on tele ?
radar
Oh and by the way....our not top class keeper played rather well in the home fixture against Liverpool last season...a game which we won 3-0...funny that...their TOP class keeper let in three ??..lol
radar
and some stats to bore you lol ...games Almunia has played this season... Played 11 won 11... - For - 32 - Against - 4.... and 8 Clean sheets -- true enpugh that the season is not half way over yet but not bad eh ?
radar
radar, basing your opinion on just one game is a stupid argument. Reina kept the most clean sheets of anybody in the league since he came to England, he's a top class keeper.
JohnDoe
Arsenal are favourites, you've had the best start. I think that, if you lose your number one spot during the season, you won't be able to get it back.Since you need a bad run of games to lose the first game. Probably the morale will be too low.
k_chelski
Who said I was basing my opinion on one game ?...I never said Reina was not top class..he obviously is...the point I was making was it was ludicrous of Lawrenson to suggest that, on the eve of an Arsenal V Liverpool match, Almunia is not a top class keeper .....Did he point out serious blunders or errors of judgement that Almunia has made in any big games ? If Aluminia's recent games against Liverpool (and I won't base my whole opinion on this) is anything to go by then 6-3.3-1,3-0 should make Lawrenson stop and think before he opens his gob !!
radar
K_chelski...its going to be very tough but I am just enjoying the fact that we are looking a lot better than we have done for the past few seasons. I am not getting carried away because its a long season and as they say...the medals are handed out in May.....
radar
I beg to differ. Arsenal can regain the number 1 spot, even if we lose to Liverpool. Arsenal aren't that brain dead to suddenly give up hope of winning the title just because we suffered a lose or two. We beat Man Utd and they drop points against Chelski last season but that did very little to dent their title hope, as they just beat pretty much every other team. Btw, k_chelski, congrats to your win over Man City. That was an entertain game. This is the first time, in a long time that I didn't nod off to sleep when Chelski played any team other than Arsenal, Liverpool or Man Utd.
BMF
Thanks, perhaps this is what Abramovich was seeking.
k_chelski
Compared to a 7-0 win....a 1-1 draw isn´t really too feckin exiting now is it? Booooo!!!!
Blue is the colour
Liverpool were incredbily lucky. Arsene got his tactics right as well, it had immediate effect.
k_chelski
A 1-1 draw with two teams going hammer and tong at eachother wasn't so bad to watch was it ?...
radar
Blue, because maybe playing against Liverpool at Anfield is more harder, you knob. Did Chelski do any better when they went to Anfield? No, they had to get the referee's help to get the draw.
