Wenger Could Still Move For Bale

Arsene Wenger has could make a move for Southampton`s Gareth Bale in the summer transfer window.

Weger was questioned several times in the last month about the possibility of bringing Bale to The Emirates but each time he denied that Arsenal would bid for him in January, while always remaining coy about the prospect of signing him.

When asked if he was pleased that Bale had stayed at Southampton Wenger replied: "yes, that`s right."

"The good thing is that we still have a chance. He's a special talent."

Bale is valued by Soton at around £10Million, a valuation Wenger is unlikely to meet. I honestly can`t see Wenger moving for the Welshman.

Why? It`s simple, Clichy is still only 21 and we have another lightening quick Frenchman coming through the ranks at Arsenal - Armand Traore.

Perhaps Wenger is trying to push the price up for our friendly neighbours?

well if he wants to get a TRUE FOOTBALLING EDUCATION at THE BEST training facilities under the auspices of the BEST coaches and manager, and to top it off get a chance to play in a big Premiership club at 17-18, he knows where to go - the Arsenal.

G4L, are you in sales by any chance? lol
simmy8_2000
not really. I am in Education. lol
G4L
lol. Well you should go into sales. :P
simmy8_2000
only if Arsenal comes calling

Do we really need Bale? What is happening to the Beast Wimp Reyes saga? reports coming back say we may have to take reyes back and lose our Beast I hope not.

Very unWenger-like to come out with something like this. Vieira-who?, Eboue-Who?, Henry-Who?, Toure-Who?, Cashley-Nevermind!, Adebayor-Who?, VanPerie-Who?, Bale-I've-heard-that-one!
dartagnan7
Maybe he just wants to save him from the hell that is shoebox lane!

Reyes has done everything poss to burn his bridges with us - theres no way he'd agree to come back, he scored some great and important goals for us but ultimately our league was way too physical for him, Its surprising cos I thought both parties were more than happy with the arrangement?
nikolaijns
what has reyes done to burn bridges? he never disliked arsenal, he disliked england, being someone who was raised in england and since moved to another country i can understand - reyes even stood up and called cashley a cock for making ***** up about the atmosphere in the arsenal dressing room a couple of months into his time at real madrid....Speaking of Reyes, anyone else notice his recent drop in form and the cold weather sweeping through spain? Reyes always started and ended seasons stong for us and was awful during the winter months, he cant play in the cold!
bootoo
Well if petr Cech can play in a skull cap we should be able to arrange for Jose Antonio to play with a sunbed strapped to his back should he ever return!
iceman10
talking of promising young players, was at barnet today to watch the arsenal youth go through to the next round of the cup, 2-2 after extra time won it on penalties i think 6-5
fran merida
Reyes has made pretty negative comments since his time at Madrid the kind of stuff you don't really say when you're still a player at a club, can't remember what his exact words were but I remember thinking hes doing it deliberately to ensure he would'nt be coming back. LOL Iceman maybe strategically placed hot water bottles?
nikolaijns
I dont see a reason that Boss will move for him, we have 2 great and young left backs
afghenry
unless he thinks one of them won't make it. and with the new rulings about the amount of english players hanging in the wings, wenger may want to start buying british if the right talent is available.
PUREGOLD
He is still welsh, so he will never play for England, so it doesn't really count as an English player. So technically he is still foreign, and the anti-foreign brigade probably still woudn't complain since he is still from a country in Britain. lol
Cesc_Pirlo
Jose Reyes will never return. Such a disappointment.
G4L
the kids good but wouldent fit in at arsenal, and we have no need for his free kick talent. as for reyes he is always a player ive admired for his talent. personally i think he aintcomin back UNLESS jose mourinho gos 2 real, in which i think werl sign baptista and reyes will return, only if that happens
sammylash
Bottom line he went for no one and is saving his money for the summer.

Some reason I thought the player was a left midfeilder. If I was him I would either go to Arsenal or Manchester united. Because I am an Arsenal fan lol Arsenal. From a neutral point of view I don't know, it depends on how I would want to develop as a player. I rate Arsenals football over Manu so Arsenal. Though it depends on his current style which I don't really know too well.
