Vela Coming Home In The Summer

Vela Coming Home In The Summer

Mexican starlet Carlos Vela will, at last, take his place on the Arsenal training ground a full year and a half after he signed for the Gunners after Arsene Wenger revealed the striker will return from loan in the summer of 2008.

Wenger also revealed that Vela will immediately fight for a spot in the starting line up (which will please Nicklas Bendtner no end) after showing the skills that Le Boss looks for in all his players.

"We scout him every week when he plays, he can apply for a passport in March and normally he will start with us next summer.' Said Wenger on the clubs official website

"He will straight away be with the first-team and after that it is up to him to get a place in the side.

"I sent him to Spain because he comes from a Mexican culture and it is easier to adapt in Europe. He has what we like here at Arsenal. He is a good passer of the ball and a finisher. He has that intelligent movement with very good technique and great pace."

Good, I didnt see the sense in him coming back in Jan. Let him have a pre-season and get to know the club / players, and that will make the transition a little easier.

I think Ade, Walcott, Vela or Bendtner will be sold in the summer. Too many.

Maybe Ade is already paving the way for an exit, if this statement is anything to read into........http://arsenal-mania.com/articles/3104633/Adebayor-My-future-is-not-certain-in-football.html

i wouldn't mind him leaving if we can replace him with someone like Anelka. and i won't be suprised if we make a move for Le Sulk in january. he himself said recently that he regretted leaving the club and would love to come back here..

I can't wait to see Vela in an Arsenal shirt, he is an extremely exciting player to watch. I think Wenger probably had a word with Osasuna prior to him going on loan there, as I believe they have mainly played Vela on the wing when he has played. It seems Arsene likes his strikers to spend time on the wing before they play as an out & out striker.
