Arsenal 3 In Actim Team O The Week

Arsenal show no signs of slowing down their pursuit of Manchester United at the top of the table with three Gunners named in the team of the week in The Actim Index, the official player ratings system of the Barclays Premier League.

With Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez occupying the top two spots in the Index, Alexander Hleb, Tomas Rosicky and Emmanuel Adebayor remain on their coat-tails after impressive performances in the 3-0 defeat of struggling Fulham last weekend.

Adebayor earned 47 points at Craven Cottage, taking his average match score to 20 points per appearance while Hleb (31 points) and Rosicky (30) were in the top three for individual performances from midfielders last weekend.

Arsene Wenger has 10 of his first-team squad in the Actim Index top 50, with Adebayor (3rd), Cesc Fabregas (5th) and Gael Clichy (8th) in the top 10.

Analysis of all Premiership games is taking place throughout the season and the players in the Actim Index Team of the Week are:

(Player/team/overall ranking/index score)

Radek Cerny, Tottenham Hotspur, 344th, 41

Lewin Nyatanga, Derby County, 351st, 38

Joleon Lescott, Everton, 12th, 350

Ricardo Carvalho, Chelsea, 136th, 165

Juliano Belletti, Chelsea, 42nd, 270

Aaron Lennon, Tottenham Hotspur, 80th, 212

Alex Hleb, Arsenal, 34th, 280

Tomas Rosicky, Arsenal, 30th, 285

Owen Hargreaves, Manchester United, 218th, 110

Benjani, Portsmouth, 4th, 388

Emmanuel Adebayor, Arsenal, 3rd, 425

The Actim Index is calculated using a unique mathematical formula that rates each player`s contribution be it goals, shots, passes, dribbles, tackles, crosses, saves, clearances, blocks, interceptions, assists, clean sheets, time on the pitch or number of points gained by the team with marks deducted for red and yellow cards.

i'm suprised Hleb is ranked so low, as his contributions have been instrumental in our success this season..
