Arsenal Dominate Team Of The Week

Great Gunners

Arsenal dominate weekly best

Arsenal moved back to the top of the Premier League with a win over Manchester City - and it was a done in some style as an incredible five of their players earned places in the Team of the Week in The Actim Index, the official player ratings system of the Barclays Premier League.

The 3-1 win at Eastlands - making the Gunners the first visiting team to win there in the league this season - followed a 3-0 win over Newcastle and those convincing wins saw Emmanuel Adebayor earn the week`s highest score with an impressive 79 points from the two matches.

He is joined in the side by full back Bacary Sagna (47 points), midfielders Mathieu Flamini (51), Cesc Fabregas (51) and strike partner Eduardo Da Silva (43).

Adebayor`s score sees him stay in second place in the overall standings and he is one of 3 Gunners stars in the top 10, with Fabregas in fourth and Gael Clichy in sixth.

Analysis of all Premiership games is taking place throughout the season and the players in the Actim Index Team of the Week are:

Name/Team/Position/Index Score

Jussi Jaaskelainen, Bolton Wanderers, Goal Keeper, 35

Bacary Sagna, Arsenal, Defender, 47

Brede Hangeland, Fulham, Defender, 41

Jamie Carragher, Liverpool, Defender, 40

Jonathan Woodgate, Tottenham Hotspur, Defender, 36

Jimmy Bullard, Fulham, Midfielder, 51

Mathieu Flamini, Arsenal, Midfielder, 51

Francesc Fabregas, Arsenal, Midfielder, 51

Simon Davies, Fulham, Midfielder, 46

Emmanuel Adebayor, Arsenal, Striker, 79

Da Silva Eduardo, Arsenal, Striker, 43

The Actim Index is calculated using a unique mathematical formula that rates each player`s contribution be it goals, shots, passes, dribbles, tackles, crosses, saves, clearances, blocks, interceptions, assists, clean sheets, time on the pitch or number of points gained by the team with marks deducted for red and yellow cards.

I'm making notes for my dream team next season!
Cesky
It's scary how Cesc is still up there despite not being at his best. That's how good and at the heart of our game he is.

Always good to see.

I attended the USA Mexico game yesterday and kept a very watchful eye on our young Carlos Vela and I was extremely impressed with him playing on the LW. He played 70 mins and was key in Mexico fighting back for a draw. I now have alot of faith that he can be the left sided midfield player that many on this site have been calling for.
