Emmanuel Adebayor moved to top spot in The Actim Index, the official player ratings system of the Barclays Premier League, after helping fire Arsenal to the top of the table.
Adebayor struck late on to wrap up a 2-0 victory over Blackburn on Monday night to edge Arsene Wenger's side five points clear at the summit but it was a ninth goal in seven league games for the Togo international that helped him earn 45 points, enough to be named in The Actim Index team of the week.
More significantly, however, the score saw him leapfrog United winger Cristiano Ronaldo and move into pole position in the overall standings, 50 points clear of the second-placed Portuguese star.
Defender Philippe Senderos was also named in the team of the week after netting the opener against Rovers, earning him a season`s best 31 points.
Gunners team-mates Cesc Fabregas and Gael Clichy retained their positions in the top 10, in fourth and sixth respectively, while Mathieu Flamini climbed a place to 15th.
Analysis of all Premiership games is taking place throughout the season and the players in the Actim Index Team of the Week are:
Name/Team/Position/Index Score
David James, Portsmouth, Goal Keeper, 21
Younes Kaboul, Tottenham Hotspur, Defender, 36
