Thank You AC Milan

Thank You AC Milan

Arsenal's Champions League opponents have shown their true class by wishing Eddie a speedy recovery.

The Gunner's drew 0-0 with the reigning European champions at Ashburton Grove last week, and despite offering very little going forward, AC Milan put on one of the most accomplished defensive displays you're ever likely to............and did so without resorting to rough-house tactics.

Eddie's horrific injury shocked football fans all round the world, with graphic images appearing in newspapers and blog sites everywhere.

Yet only hours after Eduardo was admitted to hospital, AC Milan put a statement on their official website titled 'COME ON EDUARDO!'

They said, MILAN - Eduardo Da Silva has broken his left leg in the match against Birmingham today, as reported by the BBC. The Rossoneri's family wishes the Arsenal striker all the best and a quick return to playing.

Now that's true class.

To be honest AC Milan have been nothing but totally respectful about Arsenal since the draw was made & to send such a message is truly superb!! If Milan beat us then I genuinely hope they go on & retain the trophy........McGooner, I can honestly say I was never one that hoped Pato or Kaka wouldn't make it back for the games against us. I've always felt that if you aren't capable of beating the best players the opposition have then you don't deserve to stay in the competition.

Very good gesture by Milan. Unforunately, that's not gonna change the way the Italian Police are going to view the Arsenal and Liverpool fans who go to Milan.

I'm still in shock over Eduardo's injury... I missed the start of the match, and once I'd heard what had happened, couldn't bring myself to watch the rest... Im disapointed at the reaction of pundits and some fans of our rivals, the former defending the undefendable, the latter using it as a rather crass excuse to bang on about Wengers so called myopia, gallas or anything else they saw fit to moan about... So it is good to see our opposition make this statement and shows a good deal of class where others have shown none... Oh and I'm with AG I've never wished for players to be out injured, as it kind of defeats the point, with the greatest respect mcgooner, speak for yourself...
