Happy Birthday Dudu

Happy Birthday Dudu

Only days after suffering a gruesome injury, Eduardo 'celebrates' his 25th Birthday today.

Whilst this is probably one of his more unhappy Birthday's we here at Vital Arsenal would like to wish him many happy returns ..... Literally.

Happy Birthday Eddie!!!

Today I sent off all the good will comments to Arsenal football club and asked them to pass them along to Eduardo.

The response was magnificent. In addition I'd like to thank supporters of other clubs who left their comments.

A big thank you goes to supporters of:

Man Utd
Sheffield Wednesday

And especially the many many Gooners from all over the world!!

Dear Dudu, This is an Arsenal supporter from India, and all i want to tell you is that keep believing in yourself. You didn't deserve this, and God knows that, and HE will make sure you will come back an even better player.. So just work tremendously hard in your rehab, this is your biggest test, and the one which we all believe you will pass with flying colours. Me and the entire Arsenal family all over the world are with you mate, and will always be with you.. You will be back an even better player, and rightly cement your place in our history as a true Arsenal legend. so just 215 goals more to go buddy. Think about that and it will make your recovery even quicker.. And before i end this, i just want to say that we all love you and cannot wait to see our number nine pull on the famous red and white shirt again.. see you soon buddy, get well soon, loads of love, you take care, Harsh Gill..

At least we know you won't be out dancing into the early hours celebrating! I am sure you will find a way to celebrate it well enough though. Have a good one.

I wish You all the best Dudu. I'm so proud that player like You represent Arsenal Football Club. You are not only a fantastic player, but also a GREAT PERSON. You are my inspiration, when I'm on the pitch, and when I'm out of it. I know You'll recover and return even stronger. So best wishes from Poland, we love You Dudu.

Thanks Rocky for organising the e-card to Edu. Very sweet. It's moving to see great response from so many football fans. BTW after Vital's sent out the bunch, if someone still wants to send in messages themselves, you can do so through They'll collate your emails and give them to Edu too. Can you imagine a translator sitting by his sickbed, telling him in Portugese what the hundreds of letters say nonstop? I've just added one to those hundreds.

Despite being a spurs fan, I wish Eduardo the best. He's a fantastic footballer, who really seemed to be getting to grips with premier league. I hear they're hoping he'll be back next christmas, I just hope he is able to continue his promising career. It was heartening that on one of our webblogs yesterday about 95% of the comments were supportive towards Da Silve, and those idiots that weren't were rightly condemned...
