AC's Triple Injury Blow

It would appear that Arsenal are not the only team lady luck likes to sh*t, as Arsenal's Champions League opponents were dealt a blow in midfield.

Arsenal could be missing as many as six players when they fly out to Milan this evening, including Kolo Toure and Robin Van Persie.

Milan are likely to be missing their best player on Tuesday as Kaka is still struggling with his re-occuring knee unjury, while Dutchman Clarence Seedorf has been ruled out. Kaka's fellow countryman Emerson is also a doubt.

While it's never nice to hear of an injury to a player, these short-term injuries to key players are a massive boost for Arsenal as they look to progress to the quater-final. Something they failed to do last year.

Even with those three players missing Arsenal face a massive test in Mialn on Tuesday. It's the sort of game Arsene Wenger will want after two poor results in the Premiership. It's a chance to send confidence through the roof.

If one man is going to be relieved about Kaka likely absence, it's Flamini. Although he had the Brazillian tucked away nicely in his top pocket for the moajority of the first leg, he's a player that can tear anyone apart if he's on his game.

Has Kaka been ruled out? I thought he's just a doubt. Arsene's even been asked and saying how he won't send out his players to foul him but try to win fairly. Anyway, these two injury-struck sides will still serve up a great game.

have a feeling that the game will be settled with a single goal. hope the goal is from us, not an own goal
fcdematthew
Simmo where did you read that Kaka is definetly ruled out of the 2nd leg?
luckys_10
when kaka said he is injured, then he will play against us
MYgood-ners
I'm confident that Kaka and Nesta will be playing, they've been saving them for this game. Seedorf is the one who isn't playing according to reports.
Gooner_Vin
Ancelotti says he expects Kaka to be fit.
Little Dutch
Seedorf is certain to miss out..looks better for kaka tho
ajwb
This sounds suicidal but I want Kaka to play. I want us to play their best team but admittedly only if we can play our best team too though. It will be a true measure of how far we can go if we play them at full strength.

Btw, time to get a dose of positivity. A good Ade interview by the Times: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/arsenal/article3466994.ece

According to Gazzetta dello Sport today, Nesta and Pirlo are available. Kaka's also likely to come back and play behind Pato and Inzaghi. They've had full training with the team. Gilardino's partner has given birth to a baby girl this morning and so he's on leave. I also saw Seedorf, Jankulovski and Emerson go out around half time against Lazio yesterday and the news confirms it's not likely to see them back to face us. (They were lousy and ended up with a 1-1 draw too btw.) Interesting that the Gazzetta said about us: while Eduardo, Kolo and Rosicky are definitely out, RvP is a 'maybe'.
Lou the Gunneress
We heard the same kind of news from Milan before the 1st leg, and they turned up with their 1st choice starting 11. Wont be surprised to see Kaka line up on Tuesday.
prits
it seems ade is quicker than theo ove 100m.........am i the only one surprised abt tat
karley
dirty scum, 1 week of moaning about eduardo, and then you get exited about the hopeful injury to the best player in the world, hypocritical scum, you are hated worldwide
5-1
And u lot are just unknown worldwide. Coke cup winners dont mean f*@k all to the likes of Milan. Why dont you sod off for the week and we'll see u same time next monday to celebrate St Totts.
iceman10
yeah but the coke cup means a lot to the likes of adeybayor - smacking bendenter one in the semis and getting sent off in the final last year - i hope the police bash your lot in milan
5-1
What like your lot got bashed in Seville?
iceman10
Can't believe it lol
Lou the Gunneress
5-1 - let me guess: noone liked or talked to you at school, and your parents wished they'd never had you?
Gooner_Vin
Kaka will play.. it's just some sort of mind games that AC Milan try to play in terms of injuries.. what's more interesting is that Nesta is a massive doubt as well.. rite? That could be a big loss for them too.
arsenalrulz4ever
Oh no, we've just announced the squad and Kolo isn't going. van Persie is, but I would've preferred it the other way around as Senderos doesn't fill me with any sort of confidence presently.
Gooner_Vin
Yeah Vin, I really hope we won't have to come to RvP for inspiration. I can't help but think of a certain CL game where we rushed back a talismanic striker and that didn't end too well... He should come back against someone like Wigan to get his confidence and his way back into the team, not this highly stressful game. But we don't have a choice do we..? I saw a positive article about our chances on BBC and, no doubt, it's by Lee Dixon lol. Still, he's got a point in saying that he could see us scoring, but he couldn't see Milan scoring twice. And a score draw will do. Let's do all the things we believe would work, perform all the superstitious rituals (I'll wear my Arsenal scarf with a good record) and cross all our fingers and toes and everything we can cross. I'm getting nervous..
Lou the Gunneress
i see subtle satire isn't dead 5-1
C T E
WOOOOOOOOOT.
Thing
So turns out they're only without Seedorf and Emerson, Kaka playing with a knee problem. Near full team. We're without Kolo, Rosicky and having RvP just back. Hmm..
Lou the Gunneress
and btw iceman, when it comes to europe we have won more then you so wouldnt go down that path
5-1
