AC's Triple Injury Blow

AC's Triple Injury Blow

It would appear that Arsenal are not the only team lady luck likes to sh*t, as Arsenal's Champions League opponents were dealt a blow in midfield.

Arsenal could be missing as many as six players when they fly out to Milan this evening, including Kolo Toure and Robin Van Persie.

Milan are likely to be missing their best player on Tuesday as Kaka is still struggling with his re-occuring knee unjury, while Dutchman Clarence Seedorf has been ruled out. Kaka's fellow countryman Emerson is also a doubt.

While it's never nice to hear of an injury to a player, these short-term injuries to key players are a massive boost for Arsenal as they look to progress to the quater-final. Something they failed to do last year.

Even with those three players missing Arsenal face a massive test in Mialn on Tuesday. It's the sort of game Arsene Wenger will want after two poor results in the Premiership. It's a chance to send confidence through the roof.

If one man is going to be relieved about Kaka likely absence, it's Flamini. Although he had the Brazillian tucked away nicely in his top pocket for the moajority of the first leg, he's a player that can tear anyone apart if he's on his game.

Has Kaka been ruled out? I thought he's just a doubt. Arsene's even been asked and saying how he won't send out his players to foul him but try to win fairly. Anyway, these two injury-struck sides will still serve up a great game.

I'm confident that Kaka and Nesta will be playing, they've been saving them for this game. Seedorf is the one who isn't playing according to reports.

This sounds suicidal but I want Kaka to play. I want us to play their best team but admittedly only if we can play our best team too though. It will be a true measure of how far we can go if we play them at full strength.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport today, Nesta and Pirlo are available. Kaka's also likely to come back and play behind Pato and Inzaghi. They've had full training with the team. Gilardino's partner has given birth to a baby girl this morning and so he's on leave. I also saw Seedorf, Jankulovski and Emerson go out around half time against Lazio yesterday and the news confirms it's not likely to see them back to face us. (They were lousy and ended up with a 1-1 draw too btw.) Interesting that the Gazzetta said about us: while Eduardo, Kolo and Rosicky are definitely out, RvP is a 'maybe'.
