'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Wenger delight at AC win (AUDIO)

Fond memories of 2003 were rekindled last night for Arsenal fans. The Gunners of course remember their 5-1 triumph over Internazionale as one of the truly great performances in their history.

But rivals AC were meant to be a completely different opposition. The current Champions League holders, who had, at the very least, reached the last 8 of the competition for the past 6 years were outplayed and outclassed by Arsene Wenger's men throughout.

Just as it was looking as if extra-time would be needed, with the likes of Philippe Senderos missing fantastic chances, Cesc Fabregas smashed the ball low into the corner of Zelko Kalac's net from all of thirty yards before Emmanuel Adebayor finished off Theo Walcott's cross in injury time.

Speaking after the match, Arsene Wenger said it was the 'perfect' performance.

As a Spurs fan, congratulations. I guess the only concern you must have is that you bossed the game but only scored very late. If Milan had held out then it would have gone to the lottery of penalties. Such possession needs to be turned into goals earlier and I think Wenger will be privately saying that.

Great result and performance. I would like to know where that milan/spurs fan is. He has gone very quiet.
SHOE HAMMER
Fair point BMM, but this is Milan who are very tough to crack down. The fact that we did so twice in a game is some achievement, and that needs to be seen in some perspective.

Actually it's specifically about CL dspurs64 so the same can be applied to you, SHOE HAMMER has every right to comment on the unsurprising absence of that utter racist cock cannavaro, in all likelihood he's weeping whilst hiding under mamas apron strings.

Arsenal played very well, congrats on the win.

Bran Mak Morn.....You had loads of possession in the CC Final and scored an extra time winner. So im sure Randy will be privately saying that for future games.
