Sagna Bac In 3 Weeks

One of Arsenal's best players this season will probably miss at least half of the games left of this campaign, including games against Liverpool, Bolton, Liverpool, Man Utd, and another team, who is it again? Oh yeah, Liverpool.

Sagna turned an ankle trying to clear the ball at Stamford Bridge as Arsenal suffered a hammer blow 2-1 defeat against the Blues last Sunday.

Arsene Wenger confirmed the injury. 'He has an ankle injury and the first news that we have is that he could be out for quite a while.'

'I don't know [exactly] how long he will be out, but I feel it will be three weeks at least. Five is the [worst-case scenario]. I have seen the injury again on tape. He wanted to kick the ball out and he twisted his ankle. That made it a bad injury.'

If our medical staff say 3 weeks, expect it to be eight at least.

When will it stop raining on us?
Readgunner
Very bad news just at the wrong time. Have to stick Eboue at right back, Theo right mid.
Gooner_Vin
not again omg.....Toure @ right back Gallas and Senderos in center/ or Eboue drop back....i reckon we need senderos he was having a good run when Toure was @ the Africa nation but if Toure play right back our attacks ill be a bit weak becouse we depends on our left/right backs to push up the attacks and Eboue can do that better than Toure...

Why does it always rain on us...Sagna is a beast, he will be back in three weeks !! Yeah so we have been severely weakened with that, Eboue is capable at right back though remember guys..?

I also have a feeling that, for a change, Sagna will be back in less than 3 weeks cos he's a strong, athletic boy. If Arsene thinks Eboue should go to RB, fine. But Theo starting against someone like Bolton, I'm a bit concerned about that. That's why I'm still more in favour of putting Kolo in RB, Senderos partnering Gallas in the middle. I wouldn't say so had Senderos been inadequate during Kolo's absence, he should come back in on merit while we need backup. Maybe Eboue starts, Theo comes in as a sub in RW. That'd give us a bit of balance between physical strength and pace. But I wouldn't be surprised to see Eboue in RB, Hleb/Diaby in RM/LM with Theo as sub.

Justin Hoyte played well last season for you and I'm sure he'd do an more than acceptable job ... I haven't heard he is injured

Massive loss for some massive games can these last few weeks get any worse for us??
gjonelezaj
The Arsenal TV panel think the likely line-up vs Bolton would be Eboue at RB, Theo at RW, Bendtner up front with RvP.
Lou the Gunneress
Nah, Diaby will be on the left, he's got a physical edge. Hoyte's a competent right back, but not Arsenal quality sadly. A club like Man City or Blackburn wouldbe good for him, but as an RB he's notquite in Sagna or Eboue's ball park. I'd imagine he'll leave in the summer.

And I hope you're right about Sagna Lou. Maybe I'm being harsh and we just have rotten luck, but I've lost faith in the medical team. Everybody seems to get misdiagnosed, either that or the club manage the information badly. I'm hardly a medical expert so maybe it's not my place to say. But I don't know if you've ever seen the film 'misery', but I'm getting this Kathy Bates styleimage, Sagna laid out on a table while our medical staff slam away at his ankles with a sledge hammer.
Little Dutch
That's called wishful thinking! No, I'm not a Stephen King person. Just watched the trailer and the recut version on youtube - NOOOO! I've never had the stomach for those things. Sick now. So thanks.

i'd like to see van persie-bendtner combo upfront.. they were good in pre-season and also in the one champ league game.lets see
