Sagna Won't Be Bac Till Next Season

Sagna Won't Be Bac Till Next Season

Arsene Wenger today confirmed that Arsenal's most consistent player this season will not pull on the red and white again this campaign.

However with only three games remaining and Arsenal already qualified for the Champions League, it might not be such a bad thing for Bacary Sagna to put his feet up and take a well deserved break after one of the most impressive first season displays since Ian Wright joined the club in the 91/92 season.

In his usual Friday press conference, Wenger was swift and to the point.

'Diaby`s season is finished, Hleb`s season finished, Rosicky`s season finished, and Eduardo of course, now Sagna`s season is over as well."

He has had a great first season, hopefully this will give some of the other fringe players a chance. If we were still challenging for the title I would be disappointed but I would rather have him fit and raring to go next season than risk him for these last few games.

And fortunately Domenesh is too stupid to see how good Bac really is. He should be nice and refreshed next season.

Those "some other fringe players" = Eboue to remind us he's a good RB.

"fortunately Domenesh is too stupid to see how good Bac really is" -- so very true. I know Sagna's not the first player to do it but how rare is it to have a young, unknown player totally untested in a foreign culture in a foreign football league very different to what he's been used to just slot into his job from day 1 and proceed to be one of his new club's finest players of the season? He's really extraordinary on so many levels.

According to this, Senderos is leaving and Arsene actually has a spending kitty of £64m but is trying to keep quiet about it: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/senderos-set-to-join-arsenal-exodus-815318.html

MrArsenal, the Vital Spurs league table shows the mid-table part, so it's understandable that those who're too lazy or ignorant to scroll up wouldn't get what we're talking about.
