Adebayor Blasts Quit Threat Rumours

Arsenal goal machine, Emmanuel Adebayor has blasted speculation that he has threatened to quit the Gunners if he didn't get a massive pay increase.

The media steamroller has been printing all sorts of juicy sounding crap after Flamini and apparently now Hleb quit the North London outfit as they eagerly await the demise of this great club.

The latest load of tosh is the story of our goal getting Togan threatening to leave the club unless his wages matched those of the more wealthy players in the Premier League.

'I am very happy here. Reports which suggest I have threatened to quit are rubbish. I love the club and the fans.' said the leggy striker.

'We have a great set of players here with a fantastic team spirit. We have had a good season but next season we want to go one better by winning a trophy.'

Some may question the abilities of Adebayor, but there is no questioning the guys ethics and enthusiasm for the club.

Maybe that's because he has his own song :)

It laughed when i read this origianally. IT didnt even sound like it had half an ounce of truth. I might start some rumours myself, like Etoo joining Spurs.

I think now might be a good time to replace Hleb with someone who wants to stay at the club, and also shoots more than once a match.

I could maybe understand Hleb staying silent if it were just paper talk, but if you're agent makes such massive claims that are untrue, then you're gunna say something.

If you are cynical then maybe Arsenal fed the story to the rumour people and tabloids and then have Ade coming out to say its rubbish. This would make the fans feel more settled after a week of cr*p. Show a bit of unity etc.

I think arseblogger is right and this story was a Dein/Red&White planted story because the same article also has this quote: "All that could be solved if the club were to accept the help of Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov, but chairman Peter Hill-Wood and director Danny Fiszman say no." This sounds so blatantly a deliberate plant.
