Adebayor Blasts Quit Threat Rumours
Arsenal goal machine, Emmanuel Adebayor has blasted speculation that he has threatened to quit the Gunners if he didn't get a massive pay increase.
The media steamroller has been printing all sorts of juicy sounding crap after Flamini and apparently now Hleb quit the North London outfit as they eagerly await the demise of this great club.
The latest load of tosh is the story of our goal getting Togan threatening to leave the club unless his wages matched those of the more wealthy players in the Premier League.
'I am very happy here. Reports which suggest I have threatened to quit are rubbish. I love the club and the fans.' said the leggy striker.
'We have a great set of players here with a fantastic team spirit. We have had a good season but next season we want to go one better by winning a trophy.'
Some may question the abilities of Adebayor, but there is no questioning the guys ethics and enthusiasm for the club.
Maybe that's because he has his own song :)

It laughed when i read this origianally. IT didnt even sound like it had half an ounce of truth. I might start some rumours myself, like Etoo joining Spurs.

If you are cynical then maybe Arsenal fed the story to the rumour people and tabloids and then have Ade coming out to say its rubbish. This would make the fans feel more settled after a week of cr*p. Show a bit of unity etc.

I think arseblogger is right and this story was a Dein/Red&White planted story because the same article also has this quote: "All that could be solved if the club were to accept the help of Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov, but chairman Peter Hill-Wood and director Danny Fiszman say no." This sounds so blatantly a deliberate plant.

I have read a few articles of our supposed demise this season.. I mean, last year when Henry left everybody said that we'd finish 5th, that we were the weakest among the top 4 and bla bla bla.. Today, everyone is talking as if we have under achieved.. Isn't the process of turning a young team into a winning team a time consuming one? I'm baffled at the madness of the press in the UK.. absolutely astonished.

wenger played fab because denilson went off injured. arsenal needed a creative player to fill the gap. i love how your memory disappears when you say "best football team for winning noting" when we have won at a guess 7 trophies in the last 10 years and been involved in a champions league final and the title race almost every year. your clubs highest finish in 10 years is 5th. you have one cup which to be honest no top four teams fans would be making that much noise about if we did win it. your only half decent player is buggering off and you have spent a ton of cash only to see your form drop! why you are here making as much noise as you are is a complete mystery to me!

get real? im afraid you made the comment about henry being rubbish in his first season. henry did not start every game in fact he started 31 premiership games and in that year he scored 17 premiership goals and overall 26 goals in all competitions. you keep going back to the fact that arsenal have not won anything in 3 years. thats great news but the fact still remains that we are a more successful team then spurs. surely even the blindest spurs fan can concede that is true. go and look at the premiership table and tell me where arsenal are on it? its not 4th so i dont see how arsenal are 4th best in the league. your complete lack of understanding of simple facts is astounding. i genuinely wonder how you can manage to find the on switch on that pc you are sitting at!
