Awesome Adebayor

Emmanuel Adebayor was confirmed as the runner-up in this season`s Actim Index, the official player ratings system of the Barclays Premier League.

The Arsenal star finished the campaign with an impressive 730 points - averaging 20 points per game - but was undone by the remarkable form of Cristiano Ronaldo who topped the standings with a massive 838 points.

Adebayor`s achievement shouldn`t be overlooked, as he ended the campaign with just four points less than former Gunner Thierry Henry achieved when topping the Index in 2005/06.

Cesc Fabregas ended the campaign in eighth overall, also earning himself a place in the Actim Team of the Season, along with young full-back Gael Clichy.

Analysis of all Premier League games is taking place throughout the season and the players in the Actim Index Team of the Week are:

Name Team Position Weekly Score

Kasey Keller, Fulham, Goalkeeper, 20
David Murphy, Birmingham City, Defender, 33
Alvaro Arbeloa, Liverpool, Defender, 32
Joleon Lescott, Everton, Defender, 29
Paul Stalteri, Fulham, Defender, 29
Fabio Rochemback, Middlesbrough, Midfielder, 49
Manuel Fernandes, Everton, Midfielder, 44
Stewart Downing, Middlesbrough, Midfielder, 41
James Harper, Reading, Midfielder, 37
Afonso Alves, Middlesbrough, Striker, 69
Andriy Voronin, Liverpool, Striker, 42

The Actim Index is calculated using a unique mathematical formula that rates each player`s contribution be it goals, shots, passes, dribbles, tackles, crosses, saves, clearances, blocks, interceptions, assists, clean sheets, time on the pitch or number of points gained by the team with marks deducted for red and yellow cards.

Im a clever person and i think Adebayor is rubbish. he can't score goals and has a bad touch. He is rubbisher than Walcott because Walcott is english and is thierry henry. It is true........

wow you are dumb...rubbisher is not a word...and yet you say youre clever..compared to what? a spud?

God almighty. What more does Adebayor need to do for him to be appreciated by some gooners? I find this Adebayor-hating quite annoying. This guy has done a massive job for us this season yet we choose to disparage him at every opportunity. If we had RVP and Eduardo all through the season, functioning as effectively as Ade did, we would have been unstoppable. Well done boy. Great job.

sarcasm anyone?

Hard to believe that some fans pass comments off after starting a sentence with I am Clever. Then proceed to talk such a load of rubbish.
