Cesc Tells Gooners What They Already Knew

Cesc Tells Gooners What They Already Knew

Out of all the players at Arsenal, Cesc Fabregas is possibly the last player who needs to pledge his future to the club ..... but he's done it anyway.

Every year the Spanish maestro is linked with the same boring moves to either Real Madrid or Barcelona, and every year he says he's staying, and he's done so again.

"Yes, yes, yes, I stay," he told Radio Marca when quizzed if he'd stay with the Arsenal.

"I have given my word to the manager. He asked me (if I wanted to stay), I told me he could trust me at 100 percent.'

"Today he asks the team to be united and I am the first one to be by his side."

You gotta love him dontcha!!!

Class act, shame that Flamini and Hlep don,t show the same loalty. Is there any more news on Nasri I thought he was in the bag?

Don't worry, David Dein and the Daily Mail will make sure there's a story about Cesc questioning the club's ambitions and demanding a payrise in the next seven days. Strange how the Daily Mail have put an entirely new slant on the Hleb story today saying he wants to leave because of our lack of trophies. Of course, they neglect to mention the part of the interview where he says he's not demanding a transfer because of our lack of trophies.

others could take a leaf out of his book. where would players like hleb and flamoney be without AW??? Good on ya cesc!!! top guy
29/05/2008 13:03:00
yeah just read that daily mail story....word twisting *****
29/05/2008 13:05:00
It's mildly exasperating when a statement that a player isn't leaving is a news item - but that's football I guess. It's also a bit like a Chinese meal - 20 minutes after one statement you'll want another.

For the record I would like to affirm that I am also not leaving Arsenal. This is in response to the Daily Mail story, "Arsenal fan exodus as Stillman eyes season ticket at Bernebeu." I would also like to refute the Mail's claims that I would be more likely to stay if Dein and Usmanov took over the club. Though I will admit to being seen enjoying several beers with shady characters in Milan in March.

"You gotta love him dontcha!!!" I've always loved him already before this! What can I do now? Love him more? :D But yeah, why does a player on a record-breaking long-term contract even have to do any lip service to show his commitment to the club? Strange world indeed. Oh, and I also have to declare that, "El Mundo Deportivo understands that Lou rubbishes those claims that she is in Barcelona this week to switch her allegiances to the mighty Barca and that she is only here for work. When seeing a Barca player on a work occasion, we can confirm that she did appear star-struck, according to one of her colleagues. And you just never know, because what's not to love about Barca? The speculation continues."

Always knew he would stay, but still nice to hear. Just been on wikipedia and according to that, Samir Nasri's current club is ....Arsenal!!!! Didn't think it was a done deal just yet!!!!

LMAO LD, cesc has just shown a maturity belying his years. He understands he's the heartbeat of the team and has a responsibilty possibly even greater than wearing the captains armband. Despite having a great season yet winning nothing (coupled with rumours of a player exodus) he has repaid wenger's faith and calmed the fans nerves by telling us what we already know. Compare him to ronaldo who is not only two years older but has just won the double with utd and yet he's raising his skirt to real madrid! Ungrateful *****...

LD btw "The Daily Mail's report on Arsenal fan Stillman considering to switch his support to Real Madrid met with discredit because the paper could not even get the spelling of the "Bernabeu" right."
